I can say Turbotax is the best option for tax preparation software you can find in the market. I have used other products before and honestly I was not satisfied with them. Turbotax is not a perfect software but is definitely a good value for your money, and I think there is still room for improvements in order to make it easier to navigate and get the best use out of it.

I've been a loyal TurboTax user for four years now. For the most part, I'm satisfied with the product. But each year, you never know what "marketing" ploy Intuit will be using to whittle a little more profit out of you. One year it put a "malicious" spyware item on my harddrive that was impossible to remove; another year, they shifted around the capabilities of each "version" (basic, deluxe, business, etc.)causing some to purchase the wrong version, and forcing many to "upgrade" to higher versions; this year, they've increased the price by what seems to be the amount of the "free" e-file cost of last year-- making the e-file not so FREE. In the past, I would buy this software from my local Sam's a couple weeks before my taxes were due. This year, however, I had to get it online since Sam's didn't carry it and everywhere else local it was over $50! All that aside, the software itself is comprehensive and easy to use. Doing taxes myself would be impossible without it, and it is still cheaper than paying a tax person. I choose to do my taxes myself because preparers were constantly raising their prices and at the same time becoming more and more incompetent-- they rush you through because their time is money, and they still make mistakes, for which YOU will be held responsible! Lastly, kudos to the seller, XMD, for fast delivery and responsive customer service. Highly recommend them.

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years. This is a great product and guides you through every step of the tax form process. There are many explanations for various topics and sections that are just a click away. One qualm I have is the itemized charitable contributions section. They don't have a way of sorting it alphabetically so if you have added new charities each year they are listed in that chronological order.

This was my first time using Turbo Tax and i was surprised at how easy it was to use. The interface is simple, intuitive and fast. I was able to complete all my returns in about 2 hours, and supposedly they'll let me know in a week. Great program. Thanks to Buy.com for the best price and incredibly fast delivery.

Quicken dumbed-it up, just complicating what was easy to use previously. they revised marketing materials to confuse and leave the user wondering what version to buy, obviously to get the user to "buy-up" for features he did not need. Must feel they have locked in their base.

I used TaxCut last year and I was happy with "going electronic". This year, I tried TurboTax because many of my friends use it. What a difference! It was like driving a BMW versus a Yugo (yeah, that's ancient). Excellent graphics and "Intuit-ive" design. Thanks for taking some of the burden away at tax time. Buy.com had the best price and it arrived at my door in a couple of days.

This is the first time I have used Turbo Tax and it was very easy. It walked me thru step by step and best of all, it was much less than taking it to have done somewhere else. I would recommend this to anyone who does their own taxes or even has them done by a professional.

As in past years, TurboTax took the data from my last return and asked logical questions to help me get this year's return done. Also as in past years, the State Tax return was much more of a challenge. The state return is still "lumpy" and I never did find out how to apply my NY state refund to 2009 taxes. TurboTax inproves every year, but the changes sometimes are confusing. This year in their effort to get me to e-file, it was tough to find out how to print my return. But I'll be back next year.

Good price and fast shipping from Buy.com. Turbo tax hasn't changed much from prior years. It gets the job done. The State part of the software has never been of much assistance.

Let me preface this review with the statement, I have used Turbotax consistently for over a decade. I used Taxcut a couple of times during that period. The first time was a few years ago when Intuit was slipping some nefarious spyware onto their customers' computers (C-dilla). This year Intuit's offering has a lame install/uninstall program that doesn't work and their tech support is fictional. I can't get the program to uninstall/install, so it is onto Taxcut. Intuit usually sells a good product, but their xenophobic attitude toward their customers (spyware and klunky program) is becoming a deal breaker, perhaps henceforth. Let the buyer beware (caveat emptor). Thankfully buy.com has the best price on both turbotax and taxcut.

Buy - Had best price and fast service - Great Site!! Turbo Tax - Have used it for over ten years. This year I think overall it held steady with last year. Improved a few things and there are a couple of features that take it a step back. It still is the best do-it-yourself tax preparation product on the market. The service is easy to use. Using a computer program like TurboTax, it error checks your return and it also helps you find deductions that you may not have found had you done your taxes on paper. The sales screen that comes up every time you open the software is annoying. Needs to have the option - dont show me this again.

Great timely service. The product worked as advertised. The pricing for additional states is outrageous as is the e-filing for states. I tried federal e-file with state snail-mail. This interface was confusing – Intuit Inc made it not intuitive, but it’s probably very easy and intuitive if you e-file everything. Go figure!

I've used TurboTax and Quicken for many years but, with others, am unhappy about the rising cost. Buy.com helps by providing the desktop version for much less than anywhere else so I can use the program I like without paying the Intuit ransom.

Intuit has been raising the cost of this product so we considered switching. The deal offered here was better than the retail stores, so we stayed with TurboTax for now. The 5 free e-file offer is good.

A very functional tax software product. Just a little difficult to maneuver around if you need to make changes. But not enough to frustrate you. Buy.com had the best price around. I was pleased with how quickly I received the product.

I've been using Turbo Tax Deluxe for the last 9 years to do my taxes. It's a good program and probably the best one out there. I have a home & mortgage, student loans, IRA and multiple deductions / credits and this program easily walks me through the whole process. This year the software was significantly more expensive at retail outlets than it had been in years past and no rebates were included. I was thrilled to find Turbo Tax Deluxe on Buy.com for such an amazing price. I will definitely shop here again!

I have been using Turbo Tax Deluxe for several years and overall the product is easy to use. In areas of question on a particular tax subject (at least most of it) is answered using the help index. But if you need a more detailed answer you can go to the IRS website free or for a fee enroll in the tax advisor for the additional help. (I have never used the tax advisor feature). Price wise Buy.com sold this product for at least $10 less including shipping in comparison to other software sites. I would buy this product again and would also consider Buy.com for pricing when shopping for other items.

I have been using turbotax for at least 5-6 years now, and the software is easy to use and the support (the one time I needed it) is absolutely excellent. The only thing I dislike this year is that they use very tricky wording in that the state download is free but not the state efile. I understand the advertising business logic, but it is a very deceptive practice.

I was pretty well-satisfied with this product. I have been using TT for years, but felt that this year's product was not quite as user-friendly as previous products have been. But all-in-all, a good product. Great price on Buy.com! Thanks!

I have used TurboTax for at least the past 10 years. It becomes "almost" fun to do taxes as you enter a bunch of numbers and out comes the completed income tax forms. I use both the federal and state, file both electronically and never have a problem. I got TaxCut one year for free, so compared it with TurboTax - I stopped TaxCut about half way through as TurboTax was so much easier. Also my finacial entries are automatically entered from my financial institutions and/or Quicken. Each year TurboTax looks at your last year's tax forms, fills in all your personal history, last years important entries and finally compares this year with last year. Yes, I am 100% satisfied with TurboTax - electronic filing for Federal is included in the price and purchase TurboTax deluxe to get the State Tax also (electronic filing for State is only $19.95 this year). Usually purchase from a store offering free software, however Buy.com this year was the cheapest and have always had 100% satisfaction with Buy.com and this was no exception

I have used Turbo Tax for about 7 years and have been very happy with the product. I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista on it with the 64-bit operating system. Turbo Tax will not run on 64-bit systems. You have to run it in 32-bit compatibility mode if you know how to do that.

The Turbotax software loaded and performed flawlessly. I've used the program for years and its memory for tax details and computations and for tying in the previous year's work is much more reliable than this ageing memory.

I've been using Turbo-Tax for the past 7 years and each year I find the product to be more and more user friendly. This year was the fastest so far! I've did the taxes in one day and had no problems with install, updates or filing. One thing I thought to do this year was to record on my computer calendar the cost I spent on the product and filing charges... so I'll have a record for next year. Cha-ching! More money in my pocket! Another thing I learned was to double check my hand-recorded items... easy to miss a line on a w2 and get everything out of wack! I love this product and will continue to use it in the coming years. Also Buy.com had the best price for the item. Kudos to buy.com! Thank you.

Buy.com had the best price for this product I could find. I've been using Turbo tax for 4 years now and it helped me prepare my taxes in no time. Love the free efiling for federal. Wish they would include free efiling for state . . . but you can still prepare one state for free and then mail it in instead. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

I have always used turbo tax and it is still as easy as ever. It took me all of 10 minutes to finish my return both state and federal. Also, the price on Buy.com was the best I could find state and federal.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. It is so easy to work with. I can't believe what people pay tax preparers, when a basic return is so easy with Turbo Tax! I am self-employed, and have some unique issues, and Turbo Tax is still very clear, thorough and leads you step by step. Things would have to get pretty complicated to warrant a paid tax preparer, in my estimation. I can't foresee ever going back.

TurboxTax is a good software program. It is easy to use. I've been using TurboTax over 14 years. Initially, when I read the reviews and I had my reservations. After reading the latest reviews, I decided to stay with TurboTax. I had a problem of printing Federal and State (together) in double sided with my HP 932C printer. It appears that Federal forms are in order, but not the State forms. It also happened with the worksheets.

If it is tour first year using it can be a little more difficult getting set up. However, since I have used it in the past, It pull my info from previous year. Also, I can look at my deductions and income from previous year and helps me make sure I am not missing anything. My in-laws have a small cleaning business and there taxes were a little more difficult but it also was the first year they used turbotax. Next year should be easier.

I do my taxes with forms from IRS while waiting for my company to mail me the W-2 Form. Then I purchase Turbo Tax Deluxe, answer all questions it poses to me and it always (ALWAYS) increases my refund check amount because it remembers things and new laws way better than my brain will at tax time. Plus, by ordering the tax software through Amazon this year, I saved an additional $20 off the price of the software. It doesn't get better or easier to do than that !!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for quite awhile the transfer of my information from my previous return is always smooth and reliable. I see there are cheaper programs out there but the interface with Turbo Tax suits me and steps you through each section of the return, which also helps remind you of items you may have forgotten. Pros: Free Federal E-file, state included, transfers old information, can use online banking and employer information. Quick, easy. Cons: only one here, State E-file is not free (yet).
