| | | The final installment of a completely re-imagined epic of the man known as Robin Hood. Told in a far more eerie, earthy, and elemental way than ever before, this book will radically alter everything known about the folklore hero.
| Author Bio| Stephen R. Lawhead | | Unlike many science fiction and fantasy authors, Stephen R. Lawhead studied Fine Art while attending college (Kearny State in Nebraska). While there he wrote both poetry and a column in the college paper, though it wasn't until several years later that he turned to fiction. In the meantime, he played guitar in a rock group, studied at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, and started and managed a record company. His first novel, IN THE HALL OF THE DRAGON KING, appeared in 1982. The first volume of Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle, an Arthurian fantasy series, was published in 1987, and was derived from research Lawhead had done in England, a country to which he and his family eventually immigrated in 1990. The Pendragon books are arguably Lawhead's most popular--the second of which, ARTHUR, even received a nomination for the Locus Award, an award voted on by the readers of science fiction and fantasy. Lawhead has also written non-fiction guides to life in college, several in collaboration with his wife, Alice. |
