5 of 5 Wow!!! Perfect Saturday, August 02, 2008
Hamid Mukhtar from Danville, PA

I am not sure why it is priced so cheaply. This is better than my previous $80 remote key board. I love the on off button that lights up and easy to see. Mouse and scroll function works great. Automatic connection and no drivers. You got to have this gadget. Trust me you won't regret it.

2 of 5 Very good concept, bad finish Wednesday, July 23, 2008
A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
no drivers needed to make the buttons work- very nice concept - great I'll start with mentioning that I'm in the computer manufacturing industry and very experienced with all parts for over 10 years. Typing buttons are not very receptive and cramped up together. Num lock key to make certain keys work, really messes you up, trust me it's not my problem. Mouse left and right key were place in good position but could be much much better positioned bc of freq use. I got it for $10 after google checkout and free shipping. It would not be worthy anymore than $10. If you're looking just to type the url address and use the build on mouse then it's perfect enough. But if you need to type a little more such as searching stuff to download or just search anything then do not get it. I might have to just buy a regular wireless Logitech keyboard with a mouse now.

5 of 5 Astonishing product Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Ajitkh from tarrytown, NY
This keyboard turned out to be lot better than I expected. Earlier I was considering Gyration keyboard and mouse for my media pc connected to my tv. But they were above $100. Later I swa this keyboard with a tracking ball for under $20 on buy.com. Purchased immediately. I was amazed to see it's compact size and light weight. The tracking ball is wonderful and very easy to use. It's so great to have tracking ball on the keyboard itself eliminating the need to have a separate mouse. No installation/driver needed. Just plug in the small usb receiver and you are ready. works on 2 AAA batteries so no need to have adaptors/chargers. I wounder why people buy expensive Gyration products when this simple, compact , light keyboard serves all your needs except as an air mouse. I would highly recommend this keyboard for media pc connected to tv. I am enjoying my media pc on my tv a lot with this keyboard. Get one for you. You won't regrete.

5 of 5 Good One Tuesday, July 22, 2008
A Customer from NY
Finally the wireless what is working at long distance (12ft tested) so I can control my "TV computer" without any stupid programs for the remote access. No drivers needed - just plug and play. Though you might want to use the USB extension (not included) to place the dongle more conveniently. The bottom line - I like it!

5 of 5 Media Center Keyboard is great! Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Ed from Branson, Missouri
I like it! Just wish there was a way to tweak some of its shortcuts. It does not come with any software for changing the setup.

5 of 5 Perfect for an HTPC Tuesday, July 22, 2008
cnavarro from los angeles, ca
For the price (I waited around until this thing was on sale for $21.99) I don't think i'll find a better product to replace it. The keyboard feels like your typical laptop keyboard, except i wish they could have made the backspace key just a little bit bigger. The numbers across the top feel like they are pushed over to the right by half a key, so it took a little adjusting so as not to hit the wrong key. The range is sufficient for me since i keep it in one room (30'x15') and it seems to work great from anywhere in there. I've read other reviews that you can't clean the trackball, and since mine is new, i can't vouch for how long it will remain accurate, but i do wish they would have had a way to remove it for cleaning because i'm already skeptical about that. All in all, for the price, its an awesome keyboard.

5 of 5 Surprisingly good media keyboard Saturday, July 19, 2008
A Customer from Oregon
It works well with my PS3. Instantly linked to the small usb dongle (no teensy weensy buttons). Trackball, while extremely sensitive, is solid metal and operates very smoothly. I found the key action to be acceptable. My only, very minor, complaint is the location of the power button near the trackball. I'm glad it has a power button, though. I can see the light ring surrounding the trackball killing batteries if left on full time. On a side note, although it was free shipping, it took forever for "UPS Mail Innovations" to get it to me, mostly on the USPS end.

5 of 5 A Hidden Gem Wednesday, July 16, 2008
Mike from Missoula, MT
I wasn't expecting much, to be certain. I will eventually upgrade to Vista Ultimate and Media Center, only because I got the license for free. That's not why I bought it, though. What's obscured in the text should be trumpeted at the top of the page: IT WORKS WITH THE XBOX 360 !!!! You know that tiny little keyboard Microsoft sells for an obscene amount? This replaces it and improves on it. Want volume control whether you're playing a game or watching a movie or listening to music through your Xbox? This does it. At the price I got, it's a freaking bargain! If they drop the price again, and get them back in stock, I'm buying another one for my computer. Being able to control both from the couch is fantastic at the end of a long day.

4 of 5 MS Media Center Remote does not compare Wednesday, July 16, 2008
A Customer from Mendham, NJ
I plugged my Trust keyboard into my XP Media Center PC, my XboX 360, and my PS3. It works about equally well for each... Very Handy! It took me a day to figure out that the button by the track ball is the on/off button. (it would have made a much better Left Click!) The mouse buttons are awkwardly located at the top corners of the keyboard. Although that may not have been so bad had they also had alternates near the track ball, it's not handy at all for quick occasional use, which has been almost 100% of how I use this. This the only negative that is worth deducting 1 point. On the bright side the track ball blows away the stupid "mouse" that MS tried to implement on their media center keyboard. It works quite well and you may only want to slow it down a bit to fine tune it. The keys are smooth and accurate. The construction is very good. I had expected less. The bluetooth USB receiver however has a very cheap look and feel. They even left off the normal metal shielding from around the contacts. One co-worker was not even able to identify it as a USB device with the contacts exposed as they are. Still, it worked flawlessly even on my laptop, (XP Pro). Another coworker who was present when I ordered it is extremely jealous now that he is without. I work in an IT shop so that says something. (my value rating is based on the huge buy.com discount price I got. For full MSRP I'd give it a 2.5 to 3.5 It also seems to have the great battery life one would expect from a bluetooth device.

4 of 5 Perfect for MCE Tuesday, July 15, 2008
A Customer from niles, il
I'm very happy with the keyboard. It has very good wireless coverage, compact size, great style for living room and just plug-and-play with Vista MCE. The keyboard has on-off switch, which illuminates the ring around the track ball when it is on. Having said that, the keyboard is not without flaws. First, the track ball is too touchy but you can fix it by adjusting the sensitivity via Vista mouse control. The left/right clicks take time to get used to. Finally, the back space key is too small. The keyboard is NOT suitable for workstation use, but it is perfect for MCE. I was nervous before buying it because PC Mag gave it bad review (rare). On this keyboard, I have to disagree with PC Mag review.

5 of 5 Media Center Keyboard Tuesday, July 15, 2008
A Customer from Atlanta, GA
Works well for my computer hooked up to the big screen tv. I can control the computer from the couch 15-20' away. Smallish keyboard and mouse (trackball) all in one. With a little practice the layout makes sense and works well. Using it on a XP machine, plug n play. Good price. I looked a long time to find a reasonably priced keyboard with these features. Wish it had auto-off, other than that it's perfect.

4 of 5 Worked great - after a little help Friday, July 11, 2008
A Customer from Madison, WI
Drivers installed nicely for both XP Media Center and Vista Home Premium, but keyboard didn't work out of the box. I couldn't find anything in the manual or on the web to help with this so I emailed tech support. Within a day they sent me a program to re-pair the keyboard and receiver (note, the program claims to only work in W2000 and XP). After following the instructions included with the program, the keyboard started working like a charm. What don't I like about this keyboard? The integrated trackball is a little touchy, but changing mouse settings should take care of that. The media control keys are situated oddly, with the Skip Back on top, Skip Forward on the bottom, Increase Volume on left and Decrease Volume on the right. Keys are placed tightly together, making it difficult to locate the Back Space, Alt, and other keys without looking for them first. What do I like? The layout of the mouse controls works very well while sitting in front of the TV, er Windows Media Center. The integrated scroll wheel and special function buttons across the top make navigating WMC a breeze. The Power Off button prevents the trackball from moving while watching movies. Overall, the keyboard works very well for controlling WMC or sporadic web surfing while standing, sitting or slouching. I probably wouldn't use this for a desktop keyboard in the office, but it works great in the living room.

3 of 5 Good, but not fantastic. Tuesday, June 24, 2008
manchicken from Mahomet, IL
I bought this keyboard in order to get rid of some of the wires that were running all over the place in my house. I wanted one that had a built-in pointer device, too, so that I wouldn't have to deal with a mouse, too. This keyboard meets those objectives. In addition to having a built-in pointer device, it also has oodles of nice media control buttons, and it works great under Ubuntu GNU/Linux, too. That said, the keyboard is so light-weight, and so strangely laid out, that I can't really say I recommend it for regular use. As a lefty I tend to favor control keys on the right side of the keyboard, and on this keyboard the layout simply doesn't have that. The pointer is a little touchy, I had to play with the calibration a little bit to get it tolerable, it's still nowhere near ideal... and I love trackballs, too, so I am disappointed in this one. The bottom line for new buyers should be to look at the pictures carefully and consider whether or not you're comfortable with the keyboard layout here. It's still a QWERTY keyboard, but the insert, delete, numlock and several other keys just aren't where I would normally expect, and there's only one control key on the left side of the keyboard. This keyboard could have been fantastic if they hadn't put keys in strange places.

4 of 5 Wireless keyboard with integrated trackball Monday, December 17, 2007
lionel0201 from Rochester, Minnesota
Plug and Play with no problem on a Vista system. The trackball is a little too sensitive but ok for casual usage. Needs to get used to the left/right buttons placements.
