| | | Math professor Akihiro Nozaki teamed up with illustrator/author Mitsumasa Anno to create this fun introduction to logic and deductive reasoning. Children will enjoy figuring out what color hat Tom has on his head. The problem solving becomes more difficult as Tom's friends join him and the number of hat combinations increase.
| Author Bio| Mitsumasa Anno | | Japanese author and illustrator Mitsumassa Anno is known to his readers simply by the name Anno. Before becoming a full-time creator of children's books, Anno worked as an elementary school teacher. His first book, TOPSY-TURVIES: PICTURES TO STRETCH THE IMAGINATION was published in Japan in 1968 and in the U.S. in 1970. Many of Anno's books, such as ANNO'S COUNTING BOOK and ANNO'S MYSTERIOUS MULTIPLYING JAR, introduce mathematical concepts to young readers. In 1977, Anno began working on his "journey" books, in which he takes readers on wordless tours of a chosen country. Books in that series include ANNO'S ITALY and ANNO'S U.S.A. |
