Tripp Lite's INTERNET750U standby UPS offers complete protection for PCs, workstations and other sensitive electronics in an attractive, ultra-compact, mountable housing. Prevents data loss and system downtime by providing battery-supported AC output during brownouts and blackouts. 12 widely spaced output receptacles accommodate large transformer plugs without blocking outlets. 6 outlets provide full battery support and surge suppression for computers, monitors and other vital system components. 6 additional surge suppression-only outlets are ideal for printers and other accessories not requiring battery support. Single-line telephone suppression jacks with line splitter protect up to two directly connected modems, fax machines, cordless phones or other peripherals sharing a standard dialup or DSL phone line connection. USB port with PowerAlert monitoring software and cabling enables a safe, unattended system shutdown. HID-compliant USB interface enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Audible alarm and front panel LEDs offer status information regarding line and battery power operation. 750VA/450W power handling ability supports entry-level PCs for up to 35 min. during power failures. 2-year warranty; $100,000 connected equipment insurance (USA & Canada only).

    The only difficulty had was getting my computer to recognize the usb cable which came with the Tripp Lite Internet750U. The usb cable connects to your computer so you can monitor the Tripp Lite Internet750U from your desktop. After couple of attempts I was able to get it to work. However, when I disconnect the usb cable and attempt to reconnect it again, my PC had problem recognizing the UPS. This process should be a bit simplier.

    Unhappy Tripp Lite Customer from Frisco, Texas  
    I purchased several fo these units in March/June of 2006 for my own personal use as well as family members. Units have been lightly used for DLP TV backup as well as power for VOIP router and cable modem. Unfortunately, three of the units failed just after the two year warrantly period was up. Tripp Lite refuses to replace the units, however, they have offered to sell me some new units at about the same price offered here. I will not buy another Tripp Lite product.

    I purchased the Tripp Lite Internet750U for protecting a new Plasma TV (battery backup and surge), along with audio equipment for surge protection. An UPS reduces stress on the the high dollar Plasma TV during short duration power failures and brownouts; something the overpriced Audio/Video surge protectors can not provide. After consulting with Tripp Lite's technical support, they assured me the Internet750U's surge rating of 1176 joules is more than adequate to protect the Plasma and Audio/Video equipment. It also includes noise reduction for sharper images and sound. Similar UPS systems from APC and Belkin do not have the high surge joule rating and noise reduction that the Tripp Lite includes. It also has a small footprint, about the same as a surge protector. My question is why should anyone purchase a $100+ surge protector for Audio/Video equipment when you can buy the Tripp Lite Internet750U for much less? Enough said!!
