On this particular tribute to Kenny Chesney -- issued by Big Eye, the only true name in tributes - "The Country Music All-stars" run amiably through a clutch of Chesney material, some of it (the tasteful throwback sound of "The Tin Man") dating back to his 1994 debut. These guys do have a few steps on their competition; the vocals are stronger, and the addition of pedal steel and mandolin skews this comp closer to its feted artist's honky tonk roots than the other Chesney tribute on the market, which is pure pop.
