4 of 5 Excellent Performance Tuesday, June 03, 2008 A Customer from Farmville, VA
Great product. Easy to install. Pretty straightforward steps. Useful ideas to remember passwords for the admin account and so one. Just minor technical problems. The wireless works perfectly, with no problem. But the wired connection is not working. It is very strange, but, any time I tried to connect the desktop to the router, the connection would be lost every other minute. On top of that I couldn't surf the internet at all. Even after I had apply the new firmware. So that was very strange. But if you need it just for wireless networking, this is a great router Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love it Saturday, March 22, 2008 A Customer from Hampton, VA
Much faster than my D-link was. G performance excellent. N works well with cheasy USB N stick. File transfer is fast with wire, good with wireless. Fantastic range and WPA2 support. Good buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 TRENDnet Wireless N Gigabit Router Wednesday, December 26, 2007 A Customer from Suffern, NY
Very easy to get system up and running on my main house computer. my computer is very fast compared to the other brands used in the past. There is a 97 page manual which you can print that is filled with options to set up your router. WAY TO MUCH info for me. Router comes with an optional software program that lets you moniter and hook up other computers. I recommend this software even though it is only a trial version. You need to install this software on each computer you want to network. Once you have the firewall set up it is difficult to add new computers manually. I have an older laptop Dell CPI D233 with Windows 2000 sp4. and a N Draft PC Card. system Work faster than it ever did and I get 300 mpbs anywhere in the house. and it is 3 floors! SO FAR A+ P.S MAKE SURE YOU DOWN LOAD THE LATEST UPDATES! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT EVEN ON THE WHAT EVER PC CARD YOU HAVE. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Disappointing performance - non-existant tech supp Saturday, December 08, 2007 Bob from Maumee, OH
I bought the Trendnet TEW-633gr N wireless router and the 300Mps USB 2.0 N adapter that is sold as a set. I bought them based on reviews as the house I live in is a challenge to my Lynksys WRT54G for one of my networked computers (speed between 11 Mps and 24 Mps and signal strength around 50%). My laptop gets 54Mps and 80-100% signal strength. I was hoping the Trendnet N router and adapter would improve the signal to the desktop with the lower end numbers. The trend net setup cost 3 times what the Lynsys basic G router and adapter cost but the Lynksys performed just as well if not better that the Trendnet... I called Trendnet for tech support (they claim 24/7 support) at 8:30 at night. They asked for my name and phone number as they were very busy with other customers. I gave them my number and after 2 hours I called them back, They said they were so busy that it would be the next afternoon before they called back, It's now 3:40 pm the next day and no call back... so much for 24/7 tech support. The supervisor I spoke with told me they had sold 40% more units over Thanksgiving anf so they had 40% more tech support calls and didn't have enough trained techs.. I asked if everyone who bought this router needed tech support? If so I hope they got better help than I got. I just got back from returning the router and adapter to Buy.com. I am very disappointed and thought the Trednet adapter (based on reviews) was worth the extra money over the Lynksys. I am going to stick with Lynksys it's performance was equal to or better that the Trendnet set up at 1/3 the price and they actually have tech support. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Simply the Best Friday, November 02, 2007 WhyNotIdiot from USA
Pros: Rate, Range, Features.

Cons: None really - only GIG WAN port is useless at this time.

I only have 802.11g clients at this time - getting full 54 Mbps (all the client can do) with 75% signal at 50 feet and 1 floor away while I was getting half of the rate and signal with old 802.11g router at the same location. WISH Feature is cool and it works. Was this review helpful?
