I needed this to connect my Tivo Series 2 DVRs to my network. I bought one first and have had it connected for more than a year. It worked flawlessly and have bought another. Both have been great with no need for drivers or special setting; just plug it in and go. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Couldn't be Simpler Sunday, January 25, 2009 Larry from Urbana, IL
I needed to network a TiVo series 2, which has only a USB connector. I had no direct wired connection to it's location. I used a Powerline connector (HomePlug) in conjunction with this unit, and it works perfectly. TiVo recognized it instantly. That was easy! Was this review helpful?

To save ~$10 per unit, I took a chance on these adapters to try in my Series 2 TiVo DVRs even though they were not on TiVo's "tested" list. The risk paid off - the adapters work just fine! Simply plugged in and the TiVo boxes did the rest. Very nice to have broadband connected to TiVo! Was this review helpful?

Whenever I need to service an old Laptop with only one USB drive and not Ethernet Port available this device gives you a great solution when trying to connect a PC or laptop to the Internet. I have not had a problem with the device and I will continue buying it.
Thanks,

4 of 5 Not a bad option Thursday, June 29, 2006 Simon Kwok from Whitestone, NY
This device is very cheap but does a good job. If you do not want to install an ethernet card, this is a good option. HOWEVER, this USB device does come with a drawback. If you have USB 1.1 or below, you may only connect at 10Mbps. The device hangs when installed and cannot negotiate. Tech support for the device states that USB 2.0 will support 100 Mbps but I have yet to verify or test the item for that speed. Was this review helpful?
