5 of 5 Plug n Play ease for my HP 6MP Tuesday, February 05, 2008 tlechaos from Atlanta, GA
Windows Vista Home & Enterprise / Windows XP SP2, MSI mobo (no parallel), HP 6MP Laserjet (8 years old).
Simply hooked up the cable to the HP 6MP, then plugged it into my Vista Home PC. It took less then 3 seconds for the driver to be auto installed. Checked my printer settings and it automatically displayed my HP 6MP in the list of available printers. Did a test page print, all good! Tried the same hook up with my other PCs which are Vista Enterprise and Windows XP for testing, all worked flawlessly.
Highly Recommend this, buy it from Buy.com instead of paying $35 at your local BB. Was this review helpful?

Got this so I could keep using my good ole' HP Laserjet 5L with my new (parallel-less) machine. Truly Plug-n-Play - no software needed and it worked on the first try. Well worth the money. Was this review helpful?

I tried this converter with both Windows 2000 Pro and XP Pro, with my LaserJet 6MP. It is truly plug and play -- no software required. I had each PC talking to my laser printer in just a couple minutes.
This is a great device for connecting a parallel printer to a PC that has no parallel port. Highly recommended.
