I had some 1st generation Homeplug units that were too slow for media streaming. I found even a good wifi signal (11g) was too slow for video streaming. So I bought these, plugged one into my router, the other near my PS3 and they work great! I didn't bother with setting up any of the ID's or encryption for my single family home. The AV Utility reports between 60 and 80Mbps connection speed. I was able to get 22Mbps upstream speed and 38Mbps downstream speed on some test file transfers. Far below 200Mbps, but it is the easiest way to get reliable media streaming to my PS3. Was this review helpful?

I needed away to stream movies and music to several media center devices I have through out my 2 story condo (1339 sq ft) without having to run network cables. I did my research and chose to go with Trendnet(200mbps)and Buy.com had the best price... I could not have made a better choice; I can now stream Blue-ray quality movies to each device without a problem. Setup was extremely simple and took less than 10 min. I was using a wireless router and was constantly being disconnected. I spend so much time trying to get it working again. I do not know what the problem was as I am not very experienced at networking. I did an internet search and found these at Buy.com for the lowest price. Shipment was very fast.
I ordered 2 sets as I wanted access in several locations. Had them installed and working in all locations in about 10 minutes. They work well with my Linksys router. I am very pleased with them. Had no idea it would be so simple to set up. Thank you Buy.com. You have saved me hours of stress.
