5 of 5 Works very well as advertised Monday, August 24, 2009
Rob from San Jose, CA

I've had a Netgear DSL modem Wireless Router and it works fine. This is a wireless G router. My laptop received a solid signal from it everywhere in my house (single story). However, my PDA had trouble with connecting and maintaining a signal as well as being sensitive to the distance from the router. In other words, I couldn't use it everywhere in the house. I had been looking for something with a stronger signal. When I found this Trendnet wireless router for $26, I couldn't pass it up so I ordered it. What a difference! Even though my laptop and PDA are still in wirelessG mode both devices show a full strength signal everywhere. The PDA connects and locks on to a signal everywhere in my house even outside in the back and front yards. If you want to increase the range of your current wireless router, going from a G to an N is the ticket. Just a note: If you have a DSL/wireless combo unit, you have to make sure that before you install a standalone wireless router, you turn off the wireless function of the DSL/wireless router. Buy.com as always shipped the package quickly. It arrived days before it was scheduled. Excellent service.

5 of 5 Best Router I have Bought Sunday, July 12, 2009
Kiran Rangarajan from Rolla, MO
I have had several routers before Linksys, Belkin, Motorola, etc. But this is the best I have ever had. No issues with connection, the range is very good for its class. Installation is very simple and not as complex as other routers, and it is very easy to use.

1 of 5 Not worth the hassle Saturday, June 20, 2009
Jerry from Aurora, CO
For a type N routher, the price was very good. So much for the pro's. Con's: Repeatedly loses communication with the Trendnet TEW641PC card, even though it reports that it is "connected" with a signal of 100%, I can not navigate the web. To regain communication, the router needs to be restarted and/or the notebook with the PC card has to be rebooted.

5 of 5 value for money Thursday, June 04, 2009
A Customer from Superior,CO
Getting a N draft for $25 is great. Was easy to configure.have it hooked up for couple of days, no problems so far. Could have given a provision to make it stand vertically for better ventilation since it gets quiet heated. Have to watch it;s performance over a period of time.

5 of 5 Easy to set up and working good Monday, May 11, 2009
Gary from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
This was an upgrade from a D-Link G Router. This one is smaller and easy to tuck away in an out of the way shelf. Workng good so far and N speed is great.

5 of 5 Good, solid router with great range and awesome pr Monday, May 11, 2009
A Customer from Oklahoma City
I just bought this router to replace my old one which was starting to fail and my computer couldn't connect even at 5 ft away. This router works like a charm. I skipped using the EasyGo setup software as I am accustomed to setting everything up through the router. The only problem I had was that the router firmware would not recognize the Cox DNS servers automatically. I had to find the IP addresses manually and set them myself. This caused a day and half of work to diagnose and fix. Other than that it was great.

5 of 5 Excellent Router Sunday, May 10, 2009
A Customer from Portland, OR
This is an excellent router and very easy to set up. I had an old router and was facing a lot of connectivity issues and decided to buy this one as it was at a reasonable price. After I set up this one all the connectivity issues have disappeared and the speed is absolutely awesome. Most of my network cards are at g speeds but still go to their full maximum. I am pretty sure when I upgrade my network cards to N, its going to be great too. The coverage is also excellent and the box is pretty compact too.

2 of 5 Issue with DHCP Sunday, April 12, 2009
A Customer from Stamford, CT
Connection quality is very good, but there is a serious problem with DHCP. Every time the IP lease expires it starts giving some strange IPs to the wireless computers and obviously those don't connect to the network correctly. I have to restart the router every week to fix it. Also the latest firmware update adds the static IP table to the configuration but I DOESN"T DO ANYTHING. no matter what you configure you MAC with it will assign the dynamic, first available IP, not the one you configure. Horrible firmware quality. I Contacted tech support, they couldn't fix it and asked to return the router for a replacement.

5 of 5 Would recommend Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Luvy Bear Soaps & SCENTsations - Ruth Blackwell from London Ohio
I bought this router when I upgraded to a new and faster computer. The price was right on. The performance seems to be great (it is a lot better than the old router) and we were able to network the entire office. We were a little baffled at first on setting up the encryption (security) but with a little trial and error got it set. The instructions could be a little more indepth as this was our first time setting up a router and we could have used a little more instruction but overall I am very happy with this product. I have 2 internet business' and we weren't down but maybe an hour overall. Not bad in my book! I am on DSL (ATT)- Vista operating systems (and one XP).

4 of 5 Good price but not great speed after 20 feet Thursday, February 26, 2009
A Customer from Conyers, GA
OK router for the price. Seems to not be a wide area of range for best connection speeds. I use this for my Wii and speeds OK 40 feet away with 2 walls. Great speeds within 20 feet or less. I live in an apartment and on 1 floor. Noticeable difference between 20 and 40 feet away, drops to half speed. Does the job at good price with free shipping. Using with Vista Ultimate with comcast internet.

5 of 5 OpenWRT Linux supports this router, atheros AP81 p Tuesday, February 17, 2009
RoundSparrow from Austin, Texas
802.11n is not perfect, it is new and still in draft (Beta) form. But this router has a lot of potential for the price. The router runs Linux 2.6.15 and you can download the GPL firmware and add your own stuff... or you can flash totally open source Linux 2.6.28.5 via OpenWRT project and use the newer Linux ath9k driver on this router! 4MB of FLASH, 32MB of RAM, 400Mhz CPU. It has ar9130 CPU and ar9102 wireless chip. The case is easy to open, 4 screws... but the vents are on the bottom and you may have to turn it upside down to avoid overheating if you are a heavy user.

5 of 5 For 25 bucks, you can not beat it. Sunday, January 25, 2009
john from pa
Easy to setup and use, has all features you need to secure your home network, No range problems at all. I have 802.11b and 802.11g pcs and have had no connectivity problems. Software lets you decide what bands you want to use, so that is a plus !!

5 of 5 great unit ! Friday, January 23, 2009
A Customer from Ledyard, CT
great value for the price (which I am sure will be reduced over next few months anyway); Quick delivery; easily sets up; better than all routers I've tried. Most other routers seem to work in a reduced fashion when placed next to walls or similar blockages--not this one. Internet delivery was fast (I am in a dead zone), with good firewall. This is a great buy. This seller also is about 20% less in price than most other electronic stores--even on eBay. I have not experienced customer service yet, but don't need to comment at the moment.

5 of 5 Good Solid Performer... 652BRP..... Wednesday, January 14, 2009
etech from Napa, CA
I have owned several TRENDnet routers and have had nothing but good solid performance out of all of them. I run my own web server through this 652BRP router and use NAT and VPN to its fullest for remote administration. The 652BRP firewall configures nicely. This router is a great performer, plus you can tweak media streaming. I had one TRENDnet wireless G router that would not hold a connect to NIST servers for some reason, and there was intermittent wireless connections without pattern. I reloaded the firmware... and the router started working like clockwork, (this particular wireless G router had a rough move across the country, was dropped several times and was in a box that was crushed, so I can't blame TRENDnet). Also, I have had no problem with TRENDnet rebates in the past... knock on wood. If you want a good solid performer... I would recommend this 652BRP on sale with a rebate, and I think you would be happy. Buy.com customer service is not so great however... so be careful.

5 of 5 Easy to use and gets the job done Tuesday, January 06, 2009
Jason from Worcester, MA
This is the first router I have ever set up and it couldn't have been easier. I just followed the super-simple instructions it came with and had wireless internet with MAC filtering set up in minutes. Pros: Fast and easy setup, many security choices, great connection anywhere in apartment, plus it looks cool :P Cons: None that I have run into yet, its been running fine for about 2.5 weeks.

4 of 5 Works right out of the box.. Monday, January 05, 2009
Chuck F from Redondo Beach, CA
Easy setup and worked right out of the box. The only drawback was the documentation was a little light and I placed a call to the tech helpdesk. They were quick to respond and I had my questions answered with satisfaction. I would recommend this product, excellent value and great performance.

5 of 5 Extremely Satisfied Saturday, December 20, 2008
JO95630 from Folsom, California
I did buy a D-LINK wireless G Router ($39.99) during black Friday and the setup /installation ruined my 4 day holiday. D Link product was poorly designed and the tech support was not at all professional and supportive. I returned this product after a week. I found this Wireless N Router (TEW-652BRP) for $26.00 buy.com and purchased it. (Wireless N is a step up from Wireless G) I was a bit skeptical about the brand (TRENDNET) but decided to try. This magic box connected with ease and the entire setup (Including Hardware Installation) took less than 20 minutes. Great product – Kudos to all who designed the hardware, system firmware and web interface -

5 of 5 LOOKS GOOD AND REAL FAST Thursday, December 18, 2008
MigRom from Tampa, FL
This wireless router suits all my needs! You are able to hook up other wireless products to this router, which makes it more convenient than having to purchase another router. I configured a wireless printer, and off I go, without having to hook it up. Their customer support was very helpful. I configured it, then forgot my password right away. They were there every step in helping me reconfigure. Oh yeah, before I forget, you can't beat the price (25.00). Get you one! What are you waiting for?

4 of 5 Good product Thursday, December 18, 2008
Sattam from Richmond, VA
Good router. Got it for $ 25 about 2 months back. Has not given me any trouble since installation. Much cheaper than the D-Link and Belkin products available in the market. Setup was easy, but making the WiFi connection secured or password protected was tough. The problem is you don't know from where to start. When you can finally locate that in the manual or help guide (I used WAP2), then it is pretty straight forward.

5 of 5 Works Best for Slingbox Tuesday, December 09, 2008
A Customer from Dakar,Senegal
Plain and simple, easy to install and very cheap! Purchased this for 24.99 primarily as a second N router for my house. The one downstairs can't reach our 6 rooms upstairs. I must say that this one is the best to use for Slingbox. I have Linksys and Belkins but I noticed that this one provided less chopiness when I stream Slingbox across the room.

5 of 5 5 STARS! Better than Linksys and Netgear! Friday, December 05, 2008
Manager from North Carolina
I don't usually take the time to leave reviews, but I was so impressed, I had to. This router has the best range and most reliability of any wireless router I've used to date. All at an incredible price! I have 5mb cable modem service that is being used by every computer at our INN. We have 6 of our own, plus up to a dozen more between guests and who knows how many hot spot users since we run unsecured.

5 of 5 Great value for the price Tuesday, December 02, 2008
A Customer from Gaithersburg, MD
Great product. I bought it for its capable of 11n. Currently I don't have 11n adapter, but just in case I would upgrade, for the same price I got this one. Surprisingly, this unit comes with an option to have DHCP/Fixed IP as WAN input. So when I plugged this unit to another wireless router, now I have two wireless network working at the same time. The only complain I have is the signal strength. Compare to the NetGear I had before, it has even less signal strength. Overall, I am satisfied.
