5 of 5 Good router Wednesday, January 07, 2009
Rob from Deptford, NJ

Setup was easy, I didn't use the CD, I just logged onto the router and changed the settings manually. N speeds for my devices. It's a good and stable router.

5 of 5 Great WiFi router! Monday, November 10, 2008
Chris from Washington, DC
Trendnet blows the doors off of the Netgear WideRange router I purchased 18 months ago. Far better range and throughput and the setup was very straightforward. I've recommended it to 3 friends and am installing a second for a pal who is somewhat intimidated by technology. Trendnet has put in many many options for security and QoS. Had one hitch in dealing with a windows2000 computer, but the solution involved a quick search on the internet and the removal of one checkmark from a wifi security option box.

5 of 5 Love this Router...So Far Friday, October 24, 2008
A Customer from Chicago IL
I've had this router up and running for about two weeks now and so far it seems to be exceeding expectations. I bought it based on good reviews and price. I was looking for an N router with gigabit ports for my NAS. Haven't had a chance to run any numbers, but moving data to and from the NAS appears to be much faster than before. But that could be just because my old router was not gigabit. The biggest surprise is the wireless. The coverage is great. Basically covers the whole house at max or just below connection speed for G or B connections. And no dropped connections. Don't have any N connections but may try and get one soon. I marked down "ease of use" slightly as you can only install with the Disc and not just connect directly to setup through the browser. But not a big deal. I have had Netgear, Belkin and DLink routers in the past, but so far I am much more impressed with this TrendNet model than any of those other routers.

1 of 5 Messed up product Thursday, September 25, 2008
A Customer from California
This is the worst router I ever set up (around 10 different routers). I come with a set up CD that suppose to make things easy. But after I cable connected my comupter to the router, the set up program kept on complainning the cable is not properly connected, which is actually a good connection even though the connection light is orange instead of green. Then I proceeded to web based programming of the router. But none of my three laptops can get connected wirelessly. After hours working with their tech support: Flashed new firmware (the brand new router came with more than one year old firmware); Disabled so called "WiFi protection" hidden in Advanced setup; uninstalled a network software that installed without my permission by the installation disc that the tech support said that interferes with wireless router (then why the hell even put it there?), I barely get two connected while the third one still could not. Finally I gave up and switched to my old router and everything seemed to be fine. I'll buy another .N router from a big name and avoid TRENDnet definitely.

4 of 5 Excellent Performance Tuesday, June 03, 2008
A Customer from Farmville, VA
Great product. Easy to install. Pretty straightforward steps. Useful ideas to remember passwords for the admin account and so one. Just minor technical problems. The wireless works perfectly, with no problem. But the wired connection is not working. It is very strange, but, any time I tried to connect the desktop to the router, the connection would be lost every other minute. On top of that I couldn't surf the internet at all. Even after I had apply the new firmware. So that was very strange. But if you need it just for wireless networking, this is a great router

5 of 5 Strong WiFi, Great Parental Features, Streaming QO Monday, April 07, 2008
Adam from Aliso Viejo, Ca
I connected this unit a couple weeks ago. It gives me about 20% faster speed than my Motorola G wireless router. This is connecting to a built in G card in a laptop. This unit has some great parental configurations to limit web access to children; you can deny by default and set domains specific IP addresses are allowed to go to. Also this unit has great QOS, I can stream dvd quality video while downloading files; the unit gives priority to the stream so the video doesn't get choppy. This streaming QOS also works for online gaming.

5 of 5 TendNet Rocks! Sunday, April 06, 2008
A Customer from Payson, UT
This is my second TrendNet router and I've been absolutely elated with both of them. This router is rock solid and never drops the signal. I get reception on this with my wireless laptop when sitting in my RV in the driveway outside of my house. It's great! It never...never drops the signal and has a ton of great features. I work in a high level technical support capacity at my company and run a computer and proxy lab in my home office as well as VoIP. This router has been just what I need for both my wired Gigabit connections and my wireless connections for my computers throughout the house. My "outlying" stations get a consistent 270MB connection. I love it! My boys and I game with Battlefield 2 over wireless and have absolutley '0' lag. ***WARNING*** After using their install software my wireless connected computers had Internet but my "wired" computers did not! _____The solution_____ In the router config turn "MAC address cloning" off. Turn off all connected computers and reboot the router. When the router comes back up turn the computers back on. Everything works perfectly!

5 of 5 TRENDnet Wireless N Gigabit Router Wednesday, December 26, 2007
A Customer from Suffern, NY
Very easy to get system up and running on my main house computer. my computer is very fast compared to the other brands used in the past. There is a 97 page manual which you can print that is filled with options to set up your router. WAY TO MUCH info for me. Router comes with an optional software program that lets you moniter and hook up other computers. I recommend this software even though it is only a trial version. You need to install this software on each computer you want to network. Once you have the firewall set up it is difficult to add new computers manually. I have an older laptop Dell CPI D233 with Windows 2000 sp4. and a N Draft PC Card. system Work faster than it ever did and I get 300 mpbs anywhere in the house. and it is 3 floors! SO FAR A+ P.S MAKE SURE YOU DOWN LOAD THE LATEST UPDATES! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT EVEN ON THE WHAT EVER PC CARD YOU HAVE.

1 of 5 Disappointing performance - non-existant tech supp Saturday, December 08, 2007
Bob from Maumee, OH
I bought the Trendnet TEW-633gr N wireless router and the 300Mps USB 2.0 N adapter that is sold as a set. I bought them based on reviews as the house I live in is a challenge to my Lynksys WRT54G for one of my networked computers (speed between 11 Mps and 24 Mps and signal strength around 50%). My laptop gets 54Mps and 80-100% signal strength. I was hoping the Trendnet N router and adapter would improve the signal to the desktop with the lower end numbers. The trend net setup cost 3 times what the Lynsys basic G router and adapter cost but the Lynksys performed just as well if not better that the Trendnet... I called Trendnet for tech support (they claim 24/7 support) at 8:30 at night. They asked for my name and phone number as they were very busy with other customers. I gave them my number and after 2 hours I called them back, They said they were so busy that it would be the next afternoon before they called back, It's now 3:40 pm the next day and no call back... so much for 24/7 tech support. The supervisor I spoke with told me they had sold 40% more units over Thanksgiving anf so they had 40% more tech support calls and didn't have enough trained techs.. I asked if everyone who bought this router needed tech support? If so I hope they got better help than I got. I just got back from returning the router and adapter to Buy.com. I am very disappointed and thought the Trednet adapter (based on reviews) was worth the extra money over the Lynksys. I am going to stick with Lynksys it's performance was equal to or better that the Trendnet set up at 1/3 the price and they actually have tech support.

5 of 5 Simply the Best Friday, November 02, 2007
WhyNotIdiot from USA
Pros: Rate, Range, Features.

Cons: None really - only GIG WAN port is useless at this time.

I only have 802.11g clients at this time - getting full 54 Mbps (all the client can do) with 75% signal at 50 feet and 1 floor away while I was getting half of the rate and signal with old 802.11g router at the same location. WISH Feature is cool and it works.
