5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, July 01, 2009 A Customer from Edison, NJ
Worked great, 5 times faster than my old DLink 801.11b router. Had it over a month, no drops observed. The "Super" is not that useful since it is proprietary. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good unit for good price. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 Valeriy from Oxford, MS
This router easy setup, working with Win2000 well, I never had problem with it.

5 of 5 I have a few - Thumbs up Monday, January 05, 2009 Carlos Alfaro from Rockaway Beach, NY
I purchase a couple of different versions of this router - I have recommended it to friends and they all like it. I like the fact that is cheap and it does the jog. Range is not as good as some other routers but you are not paying as much. If you placed it correctly it will work well in an apartment (3 apartments - 2 wood the other noncombustible materials)
the firmware updates have even updated the oldest one of them to support WPA so it extends the life of the router. I really appreciate the fact that you can reset the router over the web/management interface - which is specially useful if you place it high our of reach or just out of the way to get the best range.
If you do not need to hack it (change the firmware to tomato or wwrt) then it is pretty nice.

5 of 5 Great stuff for reasonable price Monday, December 01, 2008 AG from Rutherford, NJ
I bought this stuff 3 months back and since than I have never got a single problem with this. I was bit reluctatnt initially (after reading few negative reviews) - but in my experience this is TRUE VALUE for money. And for people who are bit tentative on not receiving rebate - I did got the full rebate and that too in time.
I would recommend any potential buyer to go ahead and get this tiny piece of router! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good performer Friday, November 07, 2008 Chan from Nutley,NJ
I got this unit now almost more then 7 months and has worked flawlessly. The setup software is very easy to configure the router.
Excellent piece for the price. And customer service of Trendnet is very good and you get a very good help for product details.
I got the rebate without any problem. Not only for this but also for other Trendnet products.

3 of 5 Don't trust TrendNet rebates Saturday, October 25, 2008 Harmohan Singh from Des Plaines, IL
This product works fine just like every router! The reason why I choose this over Linksys was that I was getting for $9.99 after $25 rebate. But guess what the rebate was valid till 08/31 I bought it like on 08/25 and I sent the buy.com receipt(dated 08/25). The condition was it should reach them before Oct 1st or at-least it should have been post marked. Everything I sent was fine and while signing on the TrendNet I signed the September date which was fine since nowhere they mentioned tht signing with Sept date would invalidate the rebate and now they are not honoring and returning the money.
Bottom line is this Trendnet rebates are scam, it seduce u to buy their product by using this rebate thing and they never. honor. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Deal when on sale Friday, October 03, 2008 A Customer from MD
I have bought two of these during rebate offers, they are easy to set up, and work great. Plug it in, run the CD on a wired computer, follow simple instructions for easy setup, and you are good to go, wired, wireless, or both. Also lots of advanced features in the browser interface if you need them. Great value, I have had good luck with other Trendnet products as well. Was this review helpful?

This product starts off strong but the power cord prong caught fire inside the socket after 4 months of use. I contacted customer support and they wouldn't give me a new cord. I would not recomend as company does not honor their warranties. Was this review helpful?

my net through put has been drastically reduced after plugging in this router. its really bad Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Wireless Router Friday, September 26, 2008 Mark from Columbus, OH
This product works very well. One thing I should note is the WPA2 security encryption does not work well. I had to routinely restart the router in order for it to connect properly to the computers on the network with regards to the DSL connection.
I changed the configuration of the router to WPA instead of WPA2 approximately two weeks ago. Since then, I have not had to restart the router. Was this review helpful?

Exceptional value for this quality router. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Reliable product Thursday, September 25, 2008 A Customer from GA
We have had a good experience with this router so far. The installation CD was pretty much useless for us (we have a MAC) but its easy to setup manually. There are a lot of good security features that we are using. I would recommend this product. As for the rebate, haven't received it yet so that would be my biggest negative. That is why my value rating is so low. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 good deal Tuesday, September 23, 2008 A Customer from Stillwater, OK
I bought this item 2 weeks ago. It works well, easy to install.
Still looking for the $25 rebate. It can be fun for waiting, sometime.:) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Plugged it in and it worked Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Mike from Tampa, FL
The instructions said to run the CD to configure it, but I wasn't going to load anything on my PC. I was replacing a failing router (another manufacturer), so I unplugged the old one, plugged in the new one, and it just worked. No CD, no configuration. It took about 3 minutes, half of which was unpacking it. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Amazing Router for $35 Monday, September 22, 2008 Simerjit Singh from New York, NY
This is a smaller Wireless G router than others in the category & light weight as well. Easier to install, can be done with the CD as well on contrary to most people who said it can't be. Very decently priced with a mail in rebate, for which I'm waiting. Overall a wonderful product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worked fine out of the box Thursday, September 18, 2008 A Customer from Seattle, WA
I bought this router to replace a 5 year old NetGear wireless router that died. Installation was easy with the exception of the install CD not loading properly (I had to go into the CD and open the install program manually). I intially loaded the optional Network Magic program but found that working within the web interface was easier for me as I was familiar with that format. First time users may prefer the Network Magic but I managed to crash the whole thing flipping back and forth between the web interface and Network Magic. I uninstalled Network Magic and TrendNet phone tech support had me back up and running in less than 20 minutes with a router reset. So far the router works flawlessly, and when I get the $25 rebate the cost will only be $10. Can't beat that. I recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Value for money and works just great! Thursday, September 18, 2008 A Customer from Ames, IA
I didn't use the CD for installation as was advised in the reviews.
In the last room of my house, which is like 50 ft away and has 3 wooden walls in between, the network dies down till half strength. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 TRENDnet TEW-452BRP 108Mbps Wireless Super G Broad Thursday, September 18, 2008 A Customer from Eugene, OR
This device doesn't support installation under Mac OS X or through a web-based interface. When I tried to install it using Windows XP, I've spent hours, without success as yet. It fails at various points in the installation process.

The one time I did get the installation complete, it would connect wirelessly, but not through a wired connection.

The documentation is somewhere between pathetic and non-existent.

4 of 5 Works fine. Thursday, September 18, 2008 Ricky Lytton from Franklin park, NJ
Works fine. Had some installation problem due to DSL setup. Trendnet helpdesk adviced to contact DSL provider to correct the problem, which I did and solved the issue. Only disappointment is i never got back the mail-in-rebate. I didnt feel the $10 rebate worth the phonecalls, waiting and aggrevation. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works Well. Good Buy. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 VS from Chicago, IL
I purchased this wireless router a month back. I had a difficult time installng it. First problem was that as soon as I start the installation, it died after giving me an error message that a file was missing. I search on net and found the solution for that. After the installation, the router was not recognized. This problem was because of Norton that was already installed on my laptop. I disabled it and after a couple of tries, it started working.......... and since, it has been working fine. I did not have any performance issue with the router as of now.

4 of 5 good deal Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Monica from Berkeley, CA
I've had the router for about 2 weeks now. It arrived within 3 days of ordering it, which was great. It definitely took a few hours to set it up, but I called customer service and a very friendly rep helped me get through the last stages of setup.
The router has been working without any issues. For a good deal (nothing fancy), I would highly recommend.

3 of 5 software need update but no update exist Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Apocalypse rafael_k_l from Columbia, MO
1.the easy guide CD can only config it to unsecured wireless network, very vulnerable. It seems not everyone can afford the professional knowledge needed for configing the secure wireless network.
2. No DHCP static binding between MAC and IP address. and an suspicious full-zero mac address usually appears in the DHCP table
3. the 108M 2X speed is not applicable for most of the laptops. TEW-444UP should be added in your cart for supporting this.
TEW-432BRP seems to offer better experience

5 of 5 Great product at great price Tuesday, September 16, 2008 A Customer from Houston, TX
The software doesn't work with Vista so I had to configure the router through a LAN line then on IP address site. Otherwise great value, good reception and speed, sometimes cuts off but fixed after restarting router and modem. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good product for its price Tuesday, September 16, 2008 A Customer from Tampa, FL
The router works properly. There are some issues with installation. The password settings create a problem. Don't set the password before the complete installation or you will have trouble. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 DO NOT BUY Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Jeremy from Diamond Bar, CA
Wow has this router been frustrating. Two days out of the box it's already overheating, even after taking it away from all hot surfaces. After that it just stopped working altogether. Eight painstaking hours of troubleshooting (literally) later i finally resort to reverting to my old linksys. And what do you know, my network worked fine again. And thanks to buy.com's short return policy it's now too late to return so I can only go through the manufacturer reluctantly. Anyways. This router is cheap, but you're going to be gambling rather than paying for a router with a 50/50 chance of breaking down right away and 80/20 chance of breaking down later and a 100% chance of completely pissing you off. 5 of 5 pretty neat Tuesday, September 16, 2008 A Customer from NJ
Though there were a few initial hiccups, the router is a good buy. It have good speed, coverage and installation is easy.
Initially, I faced a couple of problems. Installation instructions were not thorough. I had to call tech support on enable security. Tech support was pretty knowledgeable. Also the CD was faulty. I was able to download the software from their website and install it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great router for the price Monday, September 15, 2008 A Customer from Wash St
First I'd like to say I haven't tried the WiFi on this router yet. Everything else seems pretty great for the price. Has many configuration and firewall settings if you need them. I'm only giving this 3 stars though because of these reasons: 1) I tried the DynDNS.org auto-update feature and it seemed to reboot continuously (all the lights would go out and come back on over and over) until I disabled it. 2) The firewall rules/virtual server pages are confusing until you realize some things you enter on the Virtual Server page appear automatically on the Firewall Rules page and you can't modify Virtual Server entries on the Firewall Rules page. 3) The log emailing feature doesn't seem to work correctly...sometimes it won't mail you for a couple days then suddenly you get flooded with emails. 4) You can't use MAC address filtering to assign a specific IP to a specific machine like you can on the SMC Barricade, D-Link, and other routers. 2 of 5 When are router companies going to figure out how Monday, September 15, 2008 A Customer from Ann Arbor, MI
I never got it installed after working on it for about 2 hours, but that may be because of firewalls and whatnot at the University, but I couldn't figure it out and the manual didn't give me any ideas on how to fix it and I didn't feel like calling the administrators. I'm just going to try it out once I get my own place. It was a good deal though for $10. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Good Router for the Money Monday, September 15, 2008 from Columbia, MD
This router was easy to install, and works well. Initially, I experienced dropped connections. I updated the firmware, which was an easy process, and the problem seemed to go away. The router seems a little slower than the Netgear I have in another location, but the difference is pretty minor. Overall, this unit seems to be a good value. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good Wireless Router Monday, September 15, 2008 gbogner from Mansfield, OH
I had a D-Link Air+ Wireless N 624 Router that died on me after just 6 months. They replaced it for free under the one year Warranty. This one I've had about 18 months, It too Died.
Now I have the Trendnet. So far it works great. It was easy to set up. GB Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 For less than $10...you can't beat it Monday, September 15, 2008 A Customer from Columbia, SC
The performance thus far is great. I cannot speak for the range, as I use it in a small apartment, but the connection is great. For less than $10 (AR), you can't get a better deal. It took a while to get set up - I don't know if the CD would have made it easier or not. Most reviews say to punt the CD, so I set it up manually, and that took a little troubleshooting, but after a few minutes it worked and has been ever since. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A great product Sunday, September 14, 2008 A Customer from Katy, TX
The instructions, and installation wizard were extremely detailed, and easy to follow. I have purchased other routers before, and had to try several times before I could get it to work. However, this one worked on the first try. I highly recommend it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Works well, low price! Wednesday, September 10, 2008 Grant from Hope Mills, NC
I admit, I had troubles with it at first. It was returned and replaced. The new one works great! Advice: IGNORE the setup disk except to copy the PDF of the instructions (much better then what you find in the box) and use the http based wizard instead!
Interestingly, by connecting the router and DSL modem to a USB and using the laptop separately, I can still get on hi-speed internet during power outages. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 nice deal Wednesday, September 10, 2008 A Customer from New York, NY
It's a good router. Had it for about 3 weeks, no problems so far. It's pretty fast and has good range. Also comes with a pretty neat network software, unfortunately it's only a 1 month trial.
Installation shouldn't be a problem if you can follow instructions.
And the price is usually right @ Buy.com! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic router - highly recommend Tuesday, September 09, 2008 mister_G60 from Charlottesville, VA
This is my first wireless router and I'm very pleased with it. I use MAC address filtering which has worked flawlessly, the speed is very good, it's been 100% reliable (it's on all the time) and it works well with my Philips VOIP8411b Skype phone - and to top it off it wasn't terribly expensive. Can't beat it! Get it, you won't be disappointed. Was this review helpful?

This little router rocks. Easy setup with the included network magic software. (wish it was the full version) I bought this to replace my linksys as the wife moved out with it. I wanted a low cost alternative til I move to N. Really suprised! easier to set up than linksys and pretty good quality. Can't beat the price. Hope the rebate comes through..
