I bought this router when I got a new modem that had no wireless capability becauase the price was good and the reviews were relatively good. I have two computers, one on the regular floor of my home and one in my basement located directly underneath where the modem was placed. When I first got the modem it worked well with a stable connection for many months. After about 4months of regular use, the signal being sent out by the router dropped significantly and I could not even connect to a laptop on the same floor of the house. If you want something reliable, that wont burn out after a few months do not go with this router. The price is great, but the product did not last for me nor for a friend who had the same router. I replaced this router with the CP Technologies Wireless N router which was a similar price after rebates (which I received) at the time and is working great with a strong and stable connection. 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Good product overall. Heats up quickly and needs t Sunday, June 07, 2009 Dash from San Jose CA
This is a very decent buy at the price I paid for it which was under $20 after a $12 mail in rebate. I am yet to receive the rebate gift card though.
Shipping and handling was the best ever on this item! The item was shipped the day I had placed the order and it was delivered the next day!! Could not have asked for better handling from an online store. Good going buy.com!!
The modem heats up very quickly and I have had to reboot it at least about 4-5 times in the last one month. It works great just before it dies on you (wireless connection speeds go down significantly and the connection becomes pretty much unusable). The only way that I can get it to work again at regular connection speeds is to recycle power on the modem.
Cheers!

5 of 5 TRENDNET IS TOPS!!! Monday, May 25, 2009 Deb from Bristol, TN

5 of 5 Fantastic Value! Saturday, May 23, 2009 Jeremy from Leola, PA
Great product... great value! Very easy to set-up. There are probably routers that are a bit faster, but it is not noticably slower than other routers I've used. I haven't tested it from very far distances, but it has worked fantastic everywhere I've been in the house. Well worth the price! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Router Friday, May 22, 2009 User from Mobile, AL
I bought one 6 months ago and it is still going strong...no problems what-so-ever.
I liked it so much that i bought another one for a friend
does what it is supposed to do.
The three year warranty was a big selling point for me because if nothing else, it means that the company trusts the hardware to last this long!!

1 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Installation Nightmare Saturday, April 18, 2009 CP from Michigan
Once installed this router seems to be doing the job, but the CD included did nothing to assist in the installation which meant a phone call. Trendnet, like so many others, have outsourced their tech support to India and it took me well over an hour and a supervisor to get this thing installed on my system. As I have a wired router for our PC's I wanted to install this piggy back to the wired router and the guy who answered the phone was clueless as to how to do this. The price after rebate was great and I am now able to use my netbook anywhere in the house. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A great deal and easy to install Friday, April 17, 2009 Stacy from Hercules, CA
I put off buying a router for some time, because I didn't think that I would be able to successfully figure it out. After the kids kept nagging, and I saw this deal w/the great reviews, I decided to give it a try and it worked! I had no problems setting it up at all and now everyone is happy that they have internet access. The one thing that I didn't realize when I bought it was that I also needed a wireless adapter for my other computer. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 so far so good Thursday, April 16, 2009 S from Tampa, FL
I have had this router for a couple months now and it is doing a good job. No glitches so far. I haven't had to reset it. I have a 2 bedroom apartment and the range seems sufficient.
I did have to call customer support to help with the install (despite following all the instructions provided), but after that I have had no problems. I will see how it continues to perform, but so far, so good. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from Houston, TX
Given all of the great reviews I read, I figured it was worth a shot (free shipping and a $10 rebate helped too).
So far I haven't had any issues with the router. The setup was easy and my laptop, my wife's laptop, and our Wii are able to connect all at once.
I've also been able to access my work's VPN network. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I should have had to pay more!!! Wednesday, April 01, 2009 Matthew from Mandeville, LA
I use this with 2 laptops and it is great. I've used netgear and linksys routers and have had to reboot those routers 2-4 times a month. I've now used this router for about 2.5 months, and have not had to reboot it once. The speed is great, even using 2 laptops at the same time. Great. More value than should be allowed. I got it for free when I signed up for the buy.com card. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Can you believe this value? Tuesday, March 17, 2009 A Customer from Idaho Falls, Idaho
I was a little unsure when my brother-in-law told me to buy this router. There were so many to choose from, and most with a much higher price tag. I took his advice, he installed it quickly and easily for me, and it is working great. It is downstairs and around a corner and I get a full signal through the entire house. I am very pleased. 5 of 5 A very good basic router Monday, March 16, 2009 Phil from Buffalo, NY
OK, this router is frequently on sale and, if you can buy it then, you'll be getting a great deal. It's easy to setup and the transmission quality is decent. It you have a large house or lots of walls, you might have problems. But, if you're using this to cover a smaller area, you'll be delighted. I am a reseller and I've sold lots of these routers and my customers have had not problems. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 For the money, Great Deal Monday, March 16, 2009 A Customer from Texas, Midland
I am no expert on wireless connections but I bought this for the purpose of hooking and playing the PS3 in my house. So far, it has been great, no connection problems and plenty of speed. For the money, a no brainer. Hookup was all automatic and painless Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Great Product But Requires Tweaking Monday, March 16, 2009 A Customer from Ithaca, NY
The router setup was easy using the setup software in the included CD. (Apparently the setup software does not expire in 3 months as long as you check the box in the setup program to opt out the Network Magic software.) I had my wireless network running in 10 minutes or so. Initially I had issues with the connections dropping every 10 minutes or so. I was able to solve this issue by updating the firmware and changing the Fragmentation Threshold Value to 2304 in the Advanced menu in the Wireless setup section. Now I have a stable connection throughout my three story house where the router is located in the basement. In addition, I was unable to set the router's time manually because the pull-down menu goes only up to the year 2008, but the correct time could be set using the automatic sync with one of the NTP servers. Overall, I was very pleased with the product considering it was so inexpensively priced. As you can see, you do have to tweak the wireless settings a bit to make it work well, though, so I'm giving only a 4-star rating. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product for very ecnomical price Sunday, March 15, 2009 A Customer from alpharetta ga
Bought this product a month ago. was little hesitant in buying it as it was not a very well known brand, but the price was very good so i took a chance. So far I am very happy with it. The speed is very good. It also has a 3 year warranty. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good buy, Good Seller Wednesday, March 11, 2009 JefferyJ from Chicago, IL
The unit was very easy to setup and work. I am not someone who knows alot about computers, but enough to get by.
I bought it only to run my PS3 & Wii from. For that purpose, no complaints, good speed to play and download wireless. Only complaint is that every month or so, I have to manually turn off the Cable Modem & Router because I lose an internet connection. Disconnect it all for 30 seconds [modem 1st, then router] then plug it all back in the same order. Works like a charm.
All is well, can't beat the price! Worked with the PS3 & Wii right out of the box! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good choice to buy this from Buy.com Tuesday, March 10, 2009 Raj from Pars,NJ
I think I have made the right decision to buy this from buy.com site...This router does it`s job as what it`s expected to do and the price that we pay for. Wireless range is extraordinary and I`m completely satisfied with this product. Was this review helpful?
0 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 2 of 5 dropping connections Thursday, March 05, 2009 A Customer from MA
Good: firewall, port forwarding, routing, rules for home network, interesting home network wizard, I do not need to use it, but my son enjoys by seeing nice map of our home network. Product is very friendly for inexperienced user. Unfortunately after 17 years I spent in IT I do not need it...
Bad: Dropping connections even for wired networks. When you are working with VPN or banking applications it bothers. I am going to return it.
I read some reviews about Wi-Fi; I believe people just do not try to change channels or settings, after figuring out the channel with minimal interference Wi-Fi is working as same as wired network (with dropping connections sure).
Overall satisfaction is 2 just because I do not need the toy, I need the staff to work with, and I am comfortable even with Linux like text interface but dropping connections is killing me.

5 of 5 The best inexpensive wireless router I've worked w Tuesday, February 10, 2009 The Tech from SW MI
I am tech consultant, and while I don't go installing these in the small businesses I work for, they have proven to be great for homes and some home offices. The performance of this unit has been flawless so far in at least 5 homes that I've recommended it to or installed it in. Installation is super easy for an end-user. It doesn't do Wireless N, but Wireless b/g is adequate for anything you are going to do that is internet related, even most gaming, music and video. (Large file transfers between wireless clients is about the only thing you need N for right now). Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Excellent Router, Excellent Value! Saturday, January 17, 2009 Justice from New Jersey
Let me first say that I was very skeptical upon purchasing this router because most inexpensive routers don't work well or don't work at all. My first horrible experience with an inexpensive router was a Belkin Wireless G, and it dropped my connection like every second, and was just an overall horrible router. I decided to purchase the TRENDnet TEW-432BRP router after reading all of the positive reviews on this site, and I am very happy with my choice. This router works phenomenal - for both wireless and cable-connected Internet - and is an excellent value for being so inexpensive. The router delivers very fast download and upload speeds and a very reasonable range. Installation was easy and flawless thanks to the software that came to it, it was a breeze! All-in-all, I am very happy with my purchase, and would highly recommend this router to anyone looking for an inexpensive router that can really compete with the expensive ones! This is probably one of the best routers you can get for your home or home office! :] Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great deal - value for the money Saturday, January 17, 2009 Bob from Cinnaminson, NJ
Great value for this router. Simple to set up, but you need to follow each step of the directions - looking at the printed material and the on-screen guidance together. Performance is just fine - for 3 weeks now, all max connection quality. Can't wait for another rebate offer to buy another for another family member. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Inexpensive Wireless Router than Works! Saturday, January 17, 2009 Joe from Michigan
Bought this router for my college students apartment for use with a wired desktop and a laptop with a wireless N card. This router works as advertised. The laptop connects at the max of 54 mbps with excellent signal strength. Bought it for the price < $15 after rebate. Set it up and tested it at my house first and signal strength was as good as my Netgear Extended Range router and works just fine on the internet but obviously not as fast if you are downloading extremely large files. For browsing you will see no difference. Running it with WPA encryption enabled and SSID turned off. Biggest issue is with the combersome setup screens as it is not as intuitive as Netgear. Also need to COMPLETELY reset (turn off and on) your DSL or Cable modem (pull the battery if it has one) if using dynamically assigned IPs (like most of us home users) as with any new router and described in the setup instructions. 5 of 5 Still great Thursday, January 15, 2009 Steve H from Chattanooga
This is my 2nd TEW-432BRP. The first is still a trouper. I just replaced a flawed Linksys that kept resetting itself from time to time, causing a great nuisance to the devices that relied on it.
So far the new one is just as solid as its sibling. With the deals available, after rebate, this cost me about $12. I would have paid twice that for this specific model just for the peace of mind.
Its supplied antenna gives it limited range, as others have noted. If you expect it to hold your hand through all option setup, I doubt you'll be as pleased as I am. As a fairly techie guy, I like how it lays out everything I could need to consider in a straightforward way, with a minimum of folderol. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Surprisingly good Saturday, January 10, 2009 Kevin from California
I didn't use this router at first. But after trying many low end routers, including those N routers from Linksys (two Linksys routers in fact, and also tried wrt Linux firmware on both) or Netgear, this one provides very fast online download speed. I had poor video conferencing image with so many different makes and models. I know my DSL is fast enough because the video is clear on a D-Link DI-524 router. The problem with this D-Link router is that it crashes very often. With this TrendNet router, I can enjoy fast download speed, clear video conferencing, and stability. The wireless coverage is good enough for my house and I really didn't pay attention to this. By the way, as always, upgrade your router to the latest revision firmware if possible. 4 of 5 Very good for the Price Thursday, January 08, 2009 Phil from Buffalo, NY
These Trendnet routers are on sale regularly (and many rebates can be found). Once you consider the price, this is a very good unit. I do a lot of custom configurations (wireless security, port forwarding, etc.) and Trendnet has a very good interface. The unit is small and looks nice. I never use the CD to configure my routers (I'm a computer tech), so I can't say how good that process is. Don't buy this unit if you're using it in a large house where the router is in a remote location. The speed is fine, but the range is limited. Great for homes where the router will be placed in a central location. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 ROUTER GREAT-NETMAGIC..NOT SO Thursday, January 08, 2009 BUCK from WINSTON-SALEM, NC
THE ROUTER ULTIMATELY WORKS GREAT. THE UNIT COMES WITH AN INSTALL CD THAT USES "NETMAGIC" TO CONFIGURE IT. ONCE INSTALLED AND CONFIGURED, THE NETMAGIC FREE VERSION WANTS YOU TO UPGRADE TO THE SUBSCRIPTION VERSION TO DO "ENCRYPTION" TO SECURE THE WIRELESS ACCESS. I FINALLY REMOVED NETMAGIC AND WENT TO TRENDNET'S WEBSITE AND FOUND INFO ON HOW TO USE THE ROUTER'S OWN FEATURES TO SECURE THE WIFI. ONCE DONE, THE ROUTER HAS BEEN WORKING FLAWLESSLY, SANS NETMAGIC. I ONLY USE THE WIFI OCASIONALLY TO RUN MY NETBOOK, AND THE SPEED IS MORE THAN ADEQUATE FOR THE OCCASIONAL USE. THE PRICE W/REBATE WAS GREAT.THE FRUSTRATION W/NETMAGIC IS WHY IT ISN'T A TOTAL RATING OF 5. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Works very well for the price Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Joe from Springfield, OR
This has been my 3rd router, and although less powerful than my other two, it had everything I needed to extend my home network and provide secure wired and wireless access. The $10 price was my main reason for buying it. Heck, for that price, I don't feel bad for using it mainly as a 4 port switch (no WAN) and the extension for my wireless network. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value for the Price Tuesday, December 30, 2008 John C from Statesboro, GA
This is my first wireless router. With the mail-in rebate the price was unbeatable. We have successfully had the router set up for about three weeks. We have a self-built desktop running XP and another Toshiba laptop using Vista that is used for personal and small business needs.
Set-up was very easy. We were concerned when reading reviews of other frustrations, but it was very easy to set-up and connect with our existing fiber connection with our local cable company.
Performance has been decent. As you should know, this wireless G router has a much smaller range than other routers, but it works great in our home. I can access the internet anywhere in our house.
Speed is much slower than the fiber cable connection, but it is not too slow for my needs. It works great for general internet surfing and web apps. Pandora radio has no connection problems. Additionally I am able to use Skype and Google video chat with little lag time.
Overall, this router has great value in its price and performance. It was easy for me to use and set-up (but I would recommend some computer/networking knowledge) & I have been very satisfied for the four weeks I've had it set-up. Was this review helpful?
