1 of 5 Very poor product! Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Dave from Louisville, Kentucky

It took three calls to the Trendnet technical support center before I finally pulled it out of my computer and scrapped it...it never worked. The support center was never able pinpointed the issue. I wound up buying a Netgear desktop card that works flawlessly. Stay away from Trendnet!!

5 of 5 Great product Thursday, September 27, 2007
A Customer from Hurricane, WV
The good: Very easy to install with no problems, excellent reception, works very well. Minor annoyance: Software can be a bit confusing at first. Once I configured it for my network however, it has worked flawlessly.

1 of 5 Not a good experience Sunday, June 10, 2007
familiaestrada@msn.com from Provo, Utah
This is the worse wireless card ever. I bought this card because of its price and after my disappointment I guess now I know why it has such a lower price. The card connects after I boot up the computer but after 10 to 15 minutes the connection goes down, the weird thing is that windows shows the wireless connection as connected but there is absolutely no link to my router. I tried this card with another system with exactly the same results. TrendNet tech support is also the worse I have ever encountered. Their networking knowledge is very minimal and they are very rude and unprofessional. They were not able to solve my problem and promised to call me several times and they never did. I really wanted a card replacement but I never really got that far with their tech support. Bad product and tech support please invest on something better so you do not spend hours of your time trying to fix it and deal with ignorant people.

5 of 5 A great buy! Tuesday, June 05, 2007
joe.pirkle@earthlink.net from Lakeland, Florida
Of the four different brands that I have used in various computers, this was the easiest to get on-line. I get 100 percent signal from anywhere in my house...even through four walls.

5 of 5 Very nice wireless G adapter Saturday, February 24, 2007
A Customer from Miami, FL
Simply install the configuration utility that comes in the CD before installing the PCI card in your desktop and you are done. This card works really nice, no complicated configurations or driver problems, well done by TrendNet!

3 of 5 Quirky. Recommended if your situation is ideal Wednesday, September 13, 2006
Mark from Oxford, CT
I bought this on price figuring that WiFi cards should be a commodity item these days. After a few days I did get it working consistently, but I had the same experience as another reviewer who said it had trouble picking up a signal where his laptop worked fine. Here is some more detail and what worked for me in setting it up. My access point is a Belkin b/g router. I did not expect any trouble with signal strength since my laptop shows (albeit using 802.11b) that I have three neighbors, none closer than 400', all with a "bar or two" of signal strength. All I needed to do was reach upstairs to the other side of the house. I was surprised that the Trendnet card reported none of my neighbors in the "available networks" and very low signal for my own access point. Worse, it seemed to periodically try to reassociate with a neighbors network even though it wouldn't list it. I failed to find a way to configure it to only associate with my own network, but I set it to only use "infrastructure" nodes. I moved the access point to the same room where I have an ethernet jack on another wall. That helped a little. Then I made two changes that finally gave me a reliable connection (sorry I didn't do a scientific investigation): (1) I repositioned the access point a foot or so still closer (to the other side of the cabinet it's in), and (2) I switched off "use Windows to configure this connection" and used the Trendnet property pages exclusively. The situation would probably have been a lot better if the computer faced the access point, for example on an inside wall with the access point in the next room.

5 of 5 works smoothly Monday, June 19, 2006
A Customer from Arlington, MA
Using this in a 5 year-old Dell running Windows 2K. Installation was smooth, and reception is very good. My router is a standard Linksys 802.11g unit in a basement, and the computer with this card is on the second floor. I don't get 54Mbs, but I get 20 or 30Mbs, which is faster than my broadband internet connection - so I'm happy.

3 of 5 Easy to install, low priced, but poor wireless ran Monday, June 05, 2006
A Customer from San Diego, CA
This card was easy to install, and the price was reasonable, but could never pick up the signal from my wireless router. I tried re-positioning the antenna a few time with no luck. My notebook computer pick's up the routers signal with no problem in the same location. Possibly an external antenna would help this card.

1 of 5 System Freeze-up Monday, March 27, 2006
A Customer from Warren, NJ
After installing this adapter I experienced system freeze-ups after the computer went into sleep mode. A hard shut down was the only recovery. I removed the adapter and all the software that came with it and went back to my wired connection. No problems thereafter. The software was not Microsoft certified and speaks to the value of certification.

5 of 5 It works, best value. Tuesday, March 14, 2006
Stephen C. from Goshen, IN
I got this so I wouldn't have to wire from the basement. Popped it in, installed drivers and setup the connection. It works especially considering the signal has to go through several walls and a large distance. Low signal in that case is normal, but I haven't seen it drop the signal. Used with a Linksys wireless router.

Got two of these cards for my home. They work without any problems. You must set up your router to connect to these cards with all the security settings. Highly recommended for the price.

I was using a netgear 802.11b USB adapter, before upgrading to this one. Set up was very easy and I get >70% signal with antennae being hid behind computer and through two walls. Very satisifed with product.
