5 of 5 Great KVM for the price Tuesday, April 29, 2008 terriblecow from Boise, ID
This KVM delivered for me. My wife no longer has to switch monitor cables to use her computer when I'm on the road. Works great on my 24 inch 1920X1200 resolution screen. I also plugged a USB hub into one USB port so it'll switch any USB device instead of only mouse and keyboard. I also liked the cables that were included as they reduce the desk clutter.
For the price I'm not sure you can get anything close.

Works great, fast switching between machines. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great Monday, April 28, 2008 A Customer from Allentown, PA
I bought this to replace a PS2 switch I had been using on my bench when repairing PC's. Seems most newer machines no longer use the PS2 ports. This works fine and suits my needs just great. Sure beats unplugging cables or having two of each on the bench taking up space. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works like a charm !!! Thursday, April 24, 2008 A Customer from Vienna, VA
I bought this for home. It needed extremely simple setup, and works perfectly well between my PowerMac-G4-OSX and a PC-UbuntuLinux ... I decided to use my Mac USB Keyboard and Mouse, so I guess I miss out on the "hot key" functionality and use the switch buttons instead. Other than that, this has been working really well so far.
Of course, BUY.COM shipping rocks - I ended up receiving the product the next day itself! :-) Was this review helpful?

What can I say, connect all the cables, and it works!!! I am sharing a flat panel monitor, USB keyboard, and USB mouse, between a desktop and a Thinkpad laptop. No problems. The four foot cables were a little challenge, but I was able to position things where they would reach. Six foot cables would have been nicer. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Outstanding Value Sunday, February 17, 2008 Mike from Eastern, PA
I have several different switches of this type. This is the easiest of all to set up and use. In all fairness the others are PS2 and this is USB, but it is a snapt to setup and use. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great for the price! Thursday, January 24, 2008 JasonM from San Diego, CA
I'm using this with a PowerMac G4 Tower and a generic Windows XP box at work. Worked perfectly as soon as it was set up.
Plusses:
All-in-one video/USB cable (cuts down on the clutter), No external power supply required (I've seen other KVMs which require a power brick), Inexpensive.
Just one complaint - because of the placing of the USB ports on the Front of the box, the keyboard and mouse cables end up sticking out. It would have been a cleaner design to have these on the right side of the box. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, January 16, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL
This isn't a fancy device, but it does exactly what it's supposed to. Small enough that you can bury it behind the desk. Easy to switch between computers with a couple taps of the scroll lock key on your keyboard. I'm using it with a wireless USB keyboard/mouse with no problems. Great value with the included cables. 5 of 5 I am happy with this KVM Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Bellevue, WA
This KVM is very easy to setup and performed pretty well. I have no problem to connect it with my logitech wireless receiver on one of the usb console port and use the wireless keyboard and mouse on my 2 laptops. I like this simple product. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Easy To Use Thursday, September 27, 2007 A Customer from Tucson, AZ
I bought this based off the other reviews. It was exactly what I needed, easy to install and easy to use. I have a laptop and a desktop connected with this to one monitor, keyboard and mouse. With the push of a single button I can go between computers. First one I found with usb connectors so I could use with the laptop. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Not perfect... but who is? Tuesday, July 10, 2007 A Customer from Logan, UT
I bought TRENDnet's KVM switch with PS/2 connectors and was very happy with it, which is why I decided to buy this product when it was time to upgrade. I only have one complaint, which is that there is slight ghosting, but only when both computers are on and only enough to tell if you're reading text or something similar with high contrast. Movies and games still look fine in the same situation. As far as delay time when switching, the guy that complained about it must not be familiar with the usual delay that KVM switches have. This product performs very similarly to other brands of KVM switches. There is a slightly longer delay with this than my PS/2 KVM, but that's because it takes a little longer for USB devices to disconnect from one computer and connect to the next. This isn't a design flaw in the switch, that's just how USB devices work. All in all, this is a great product at a great price. Was this review helpful?

Simple installation, and easy setup. Only took 5 minutes! Works great for a great price! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It works ok Thursday, May 31, 2007 A Customer from Tucson, AZ
It does the job and for the price it's not bad. Switching between machines using the keyboard hot-key commands is slow, works better when using the switching button on the machine. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Easy setup, slow to switch Thursday, April 05, 2007 A Customer from Mill Valley, CA
Plug everything in and it goes. But because the USB devices are "removed" and "added" via Windows each time you switch, swapping between devices takes a few seconds, unlike my old PS/2 KVM switch which was super fast. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 nice KVM switch Wednesday, March 21, 2007 Grace1948 from Festus,MO
I bouhgt for my office computers requiring many keyboards and mouses to save space. I tried to switch server using Linux and client PC using windows OS but unable to switch from server to pc using scroll key, instead connect 2 pc computers using windows os by scroll Lk key easily. Thus it saved office desk space ,mouse and keyboard.I emailed to Trendnet support tech team about my problem 1 week ago so far no return answer, feel poor support from trendnet co.Overall very good product to use for the price. I will buy it again if Ineeded. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Simple install. Works perfectly. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 A Customer from Audubon, PA
The installation went smoothly on two PC with Windows XP Pro: one laptop and one desktop.
This works exactly as I'd expect it to do. Almost all of the KVM switches with similar features were about twice as much as this switch.
One issue I had with it is that the knuckle joining the two cables could have been a little higher. The laptop has the monitor and USB port on opposite sides. There's no way this would have fit on a laptop with a 17" screen with that type of configuration. It barely fit on my 15.4" screen and that was after wrestling with it a little. Sure, I could have bought an extension for the USB cable or cut the knuckle, but I'm too cheap and lazy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product and Reasonable Price! Wednesday, March 07, 2007 Julius from Chicago, IL
I bought this KVM switch after I previously purchased from a different vendor and had to return it. I use a Dell bluetooth keyboard/mouse with only 1 USB adapter receiver. It didn't properly work with the previous KVM switch. Only the keyboard worked and not the mouse. It might be because the switch has a separate USB port for connecting the keyboard and mouse. The TrendNet KVM switch didn't have this problem. It is working well with my Dell bluetooth keyboard/mouse. I plugged the USB adapter in the USB keyboard port and both are working. Now I can easily switch between my WinXP and Vista computers. I strongly recommend this product!

4 of 5 Good Value Wednesday, February 28, 2007 A Customer from Austin, TX
Good value. Works as expected. The only problem is that I notice my screen "waving" a bit when I move my mouse while set at a high screen resolution (16880x1050) @60Hz. Not enough to make me send it back but it is a bit annoying. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent! Wednesday, February 14, 2007 Kurt from Washington
I was dubious, but this thing works flawlessly. Quickly bounces back and forth between machines and within a couple seconds the mouse and keyboard are working. Just hooking up all the cables was the worst part, everything else just worked without any help from me. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 reliable KVM switch Thursday, February 08, 2007 Felix Lu from Durham, NC
I have two of these switches now and have used them for several motnhs. They are simple to install (just plug everything in) and work well with my laptop (fujitsu Lifebook) and a desktop (Dell optima something). The only complaint is a lack of an extra USB port for print sharing. The foot print, after all the cables have been plugged in is somewhat larger than you mig |
