This company offers what no one else still does - free technical phone support. There will be times when you are very thankful for it. So if you have any other company, dump them and get Trend Micro. If you already have Trend Micro, I don't recommend buying a new version. Just renew your update subscription. Every year's version of the software has access to the identical database of viruses and other "malware". Why pull your hair out installing something new, when the real meat and potatoes - the database - will be exactly the same in the end? Doesn't make sense to me. It took something like 7 or 8 calls to the free technical support number to get this version configured, all of which would have been avoided by just renewing my update subscription. Incidentally, the price of buying a new version - which comes with a year of free updates - and the price of renewing the update subscription of your existing Trend Micro version - is about the same. In other words, the software, after the initial version you buy, is essentially free. You are paying for the updates, whether the software is new or old. Was this review helpful?
