I believe that Internet Security is the best anti-virus protection software for the price on the market. I have been using it for almost two years with no problems at all. I especially like the parental controls built in, since I have a teen and a pre-teen in the house. Was this review helpful?

Even though Buy.com said they were out of stock, I got mine in about a week. I see now they are out of stock again - maybe because you can't beat their price. I had been using the trial download version from Trend Micro to try out this software for the full term before I purchased and I started to get 2 sets of email notices about the upcoming expiration date. One said I would get a special discount from their regular $79 price down to $59.95 if I bought NOW - and their notice said my trial ended 11 days before it should have ended. The other set of email notices got the trial expiration date right but said it would cost $49.95, the same price advertised by Trend Micro. Each set of notices came from different email addresses - watch out for the switch and bait trick if you activate your trial version. But why do that when Buy.com sells it for 34 bucks? So I uninstalled the trial version and installed from the CD I purchased from Buy.com (with no problems). Can't beat that and I can protect up to 3 computers. The only complaint I have with the software is that it loads very slowly so you have to wait a while to check your email after you turn on the computer. It catches lots of spyware, CU says it catches more viruses than the other brands, and it updates almost every day, so slow is ok with me. Symantec has burned too many bridges with all of their software for me to even think of using their anti-virus software. One caveat - when you're installing the software you have to turn off or uninstall all other protection, so disconnect from the internet while you're installing until the last minute when you have to activate over the internet. They don't warn you about that short period of total vulnerability. Was this review helpful?
