Not only does this charger work, it works extremely well; I have had zero problems with it. Not at all what I expected for a third-party product, but it just shows that things aren't always what they seem.

this is a wonderful alternative rather than getting the manufacturer charger which is more 3 times the price of this charger. at first it was a little too bulky for my taste but eventually I just got used to it. awesome product! haha which is why I ordered another one. Was this review helpful?

The original power adapter/charger for my Asus EEE 4G (701) stopped working after only six months, but it was a refurbed unit so you pays your money and you takes your chance.
The EEE was going to be sitting idle for awhile due to the cost of any replacements I found at first. This 'travel charger' was so much more reasonable even with shipping added in, I ordered it and it has been working perfectly for about three weeks.
I see it is no longer available from the manufacturer, but there may be another source for a adapter with the 4G specifications.
