| | Artist Overview | | Billy Joe Shaver made his mark in the 1970s as a key figure in the country outlaw movement, penning poetic but unpretentious honky-tonk tunes for Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and others. His career stumbled in the 1980s, but with his guitar-playing son Eddie, he made a comeback in the 1990s under the group name Shaver. Unfortunately, Eddie passed away on New Year's Eve of 2000, leaving Billy Joe to continue his journey alone. |
