The Good: Inexpensive. Plays VHS, DVD, CD, mp3-CD, and several other formats.
The Bad: No tuner. I bought it to tape broadcast TV shows from PBS after my old VCR died. This cannot be done without a cable or satellite tuner box, which I don't have.
The Ugly: Some DVDs do not play very well. My kid's Veggie Tales are computer generated animation and the images have very jagged edges and the picture flutters. The same DVDs do not do this in other players. Also, Buyer Beware: Read Buy.com's exchange policy carefully. I would have returned this for another model, but open box electronics can be returned for replacement only, not store credit. Was this review helpful?
