The V30 is an awesome deal that is truly worth it. Even though the screen is OLED, it looks quite good and it is very sharp. The only thing about the screen is that it does not depict similar colors very well.
The sound quality through the included earbuds is marginal although with a nice set of headphones the sound quality is superb. The built in speaker is a little tinny but it does sound clear and it's a great feature.
It's very easy to use and the menus are very nice.
The battery life is amazing and I can use it plenty throughout the day with battery life still left.
The things I do not like are:
You can't charge and sync at the same time which is a pain, although I can live with it.
I also don't like how you have to convert pretty much every video that goes onto it. I don't like buying extra software and it should have been included with it.
Overall this is a great music and video player and it does not fail to satisfy me. If you can get past the fact of the charging/syncing and the converting video, then this would be a great portable media center. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this for $150 in Feb 2007 and really enjoy using it. I plug it into my car and let it shuffle through all of my music, or I can select specific artists or albums on a quicklist to shuffle through.
The battery life is great, not quite as much as advertised, but still pretty decent.
My only complaint is that it only plays WMV video, it would be better if it could play MPG as well, but my main use is for music.
All in all this is a great product that I would recommend to my friends. Was this review helpful?

If you don't have to have an iPod, this is a great choice for mobile video. 7+ hour video battery life is from the best there is. Used it on a transcontinental flight and worked great. Get a different pair of headphones, the ones included aren't powerful enough for airplane use. The unit works with Vongo.com movie downloads (but they mostly have 2nd rate titles) Walmart.com has all the latest movies and you can download them for use with this Toshiba. Nice screen big enough to watch longer movies and tv shows. Can't beat the $170 price point for a 30gig video/music player. Easy to load with photo, music, and video files via usb. Can sync thru media player or just drag and drop as player shows up as external usb drive. Video player only plays wmv files so online video purchase/rental library is very limited. Will need to buy additional software and take the time to convert video files, recorded tv, dvds, etc to wmv. But good value overall. Was this review helpful?

Very happy with my purchase. The Mp3 player works great hooked up to my Mp3 ready car stereo and speakers. The 3" screen is great and has a zoom feature I wasn't expecting. Makes for great sharing pictures with family and friends. The only down side is I haven't been able to hook it up to view pics & video through the USB port on my DPL tv. Luckily I have a MP3 plug on my DVD player and the music sounds great through my surround sound speakers. I haven't downloaded a movie yet, but I mainly wanted it to carry music. Being able to down load pics from my camera away from my computer is a big plus. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone who travels alot and takes lots of pictures.
