Works Great and would recommend this to anyone. Has MANY features and has 3 HDMI slots. With rabbit ear attached without cable the TV scans all analog and HD channels that are broadcast locally. To many other features to list. Works great with my Xbox 360. Have not found any cons as of yet. Was this review helpful?

As a first time buyer of an HDTV and of Buy.com I am very satisfied with both. This Toshiba is absolutely the best value for your money. Even the discounts from any other retailer, web or brick, can't come close to this unit. My research was extensive. Being a retired Calibration Tech I like to think i know what to look for. Being a value minded cheapskate I like what this set does. No nonsense great picture. A little blurry in fast scene transitions during some sports, but not enough to deter from the overall clarity and color rendering. I strongly suggest checking out CNET.com's tutorial on how to adjust an LCD TV. Remember that our old standby tube type CRT was invented 70+ years ago. LCD's are physics magic at work. Enjoy! This is a great TV. Especially for the money. Native resolution is only 720p but again for the money it looks awesome. It is very bright as well which really makes a difference. There are plenty of inputs which makes things easy as well. I have had no problems whatsoever so far. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to buy a mid level HDTV. We have really enjoyed this HDTV! In fact, this is our second Toshiba HDTV. It produces an extremely vibrant, crisp picture. Whites (i.e. hockey ice, etc.) are particularly beautiful. Depending on the quality of the HD feed, the picture ranges from really good to fantastic. Fast moving sporting events look very good. I occasionally notice small movement artifacts common to LCD TV's, but Toshiba managed somehow to keep this annoyance down to a minimum. I have seen other LCD's that are barely watchable because of this factor. Non-HD is not as good, but mostly acceptable. My review only includes 1080i HD resolutions as cable companies do not offer 1080P feeds yet, and we do not have a 1080P DVD player. I can't imagine how good the picture will be under 1080P. I scored a 4 on the value, because I think the TV is a little pricey given other LCDs at a similar size; however, I doubt that other brands can match the picture. Was this review helpful? |
