She's the victim. He's the seducer. Both are killers.

Brad Pitt (Troy, Ocean's 11) and Juliette Lewis (Starsky and Hutch, Natural Born Killers) star in this shocking drama about teenagers and the death penalty.

Juliette Lewis plays 15-year-old Amanda Sue Bradley, a girl who has already endured a lifetime of cruelty and neglect. Abused by her stepfather, abandoned by her mother and with one failed marriage behind her, she falls prey to a seductive hustler, Billy Canton (Brad Pitt).

Billy soon introduces Amanda to the world of sex, drugs and prostitution. She then meets a man (Michael O'Keefe, Caddyshack) who shows her the only love and compassion she's ever known. But, when he is forced to break off their friendship because of her age, Billy convinces Amanda to take a bloody revenge.

High on drugs and booze, the two go on a murderous rampage. Amanda is arrested and because of the brutality of the crime, she's tried as an adult. If Amanda is found guilty of murder, she'll receive the death penalty.

Editor's Note

The made-for-TV drama TOO YOUNG TO DIE? presents a tragic story of manipulation and murder that touches on the hot topic debate over the death penalty. Juliette Lewis and Brad Pitt star, before they became huge Hollywood icons. Amanda (Lewis) is a 15 year-old girl who has lived a rough childhood. When her stepfather abuses her, Amanda's mother places the blame on her and kicks her out of their house. Desperate and ignorant, she takes up with immoral hustler Billy (Pitt), who hooks her on drugs and makes her a prostitute. She has one last chance with a kindly divorced man (Michael Tucker), who ultimately must distance himself from her because of his career. Enraged, Amanda and Billy embark on a drug-fueled murder spree. TOO YOUNG TO DIE? questions the justice of a system where a lost soul like Amanda can suffer such a tragic fate.

Professional Reviews
DVD Verdict 8 of 10
It would be easy to review the 1990 made-for-TV movie Too Young to Die? with two words: rent Kalifornia. Both films feature Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers) and Brad Pitt (Fight Club) as white-trash nomads who kill people, with the major difference being that Kalifornia is actually quite good...I can almost recommend the film, however, due to the work of Juliette Lewis alone. There's a reason she received so many of these kinds of roles in the first half of her career - because she's damn good at them. I don't know of many other young actresses (then or now) who could combine this character's foolish-but-sincere innocence with a sexuality that she's got no handle on or understanding of; Lewis's first stripping scene nails both, and is as hypnotic as it is heartbreaking. - Patrick Bromley
