TomTom XL 340S 4.3" GPS - Text to Speech, IQ Routes Technology, 7 Million POIs - 1EM0.052.02

I bought this for a little under $200, but am very satisfied with it. Have had it for almost two months now. The head-unit build quality is very good, but the mount needs a little effort to get along with. i suggest reading the manual for how to use the mount (without making any assumptions), as it is not the regular clamp mounts. I have dropped the main unit a couple of times (fell from my hand while trying to mount it), and its holding up good. Pros: 1) very good usability and accessibility 2) screen quality is very good 3) voice is clear and directions are good 4)lane guidance is a must have if you are travelling to a big city 5) you can update the maps in the future Cons: 1)the mount needs a little effort to get used to 2)need to use computer voice (as against human voice) for street names....(ok...not exactly a con....but just a heads up) 3) MOST IMPORTANTLY....it takes a few minutes (when i say a few...i mean a few) for the unit to pick up a satellite and start guiding you. This means, you might need to pull-up your car if you just started the unit up and wait a few minutes for the directions to come up. This is a little annoying and i hope TomTom fixes this with subsequent models. Overall, for under $200, this is a great piece which provides lane guidance and spoken street names.
