Tried out this great gadget and it did a wonderful job of getting me to my destination. Loved the verbal "warning" when a turn was coming up. The window mount didn't work in my PT Cruiser but I set it in a cup holder space and it worked fine there. Hoping to find a dash mount adapter somewhere. Good value and easy set up.

Bought this for my wife, and I personally think it's a pretty decent unit, but she thought it was too difficult to set up. I will admit, adding POI information is a very slow and tedious process but I thought the unit performed very well. Accuracy is excellent. I will be returning it because it does not have text-to-speech (i.e. it does not say street names) but otherwise I would be keeping it (and adding Dennis Hopper's voice!)

Even though the recieved TomTom 510 was refurbished it was in excellent condition and todate I have had no problems. Buy.com has always given me excellent service and their products have proven to be of high quality.

Great product! I used the Tom Tom right out of the box with no problem. My first trip was to an out of state wedding. I went door to door with the use of the TOM TOM GO 510 and had no problem finding the destination. Great value for a great price! I use this product all the time and find that getting from point A to point B is much easier than using any on-line maps prior to a trip. I no longer have my administrative assistant take time from her other duties to plan my trips, I simply input the information into my Tom Tom and arrive at my destination without delay. I highly encourage you to purchase this from Buy.com. Delivery was very quick. I am 100% satisfied.

Can't live without it... I am hook on this TomTom Go510, get little product, easy to use once its activated correctly, had a small tech. problem called TomTom Tech service and was running in no time, great customer service from TomTom. It's my first GPS device, I had searched around for the best deals and brand, read a little here and there and was tempted with the TomTom Go910 which has many more features but ... being the first device decided on the Go-510 for a go around.. happy with it. Best deal was found on Buy.com after a two week search.

I am a plumbing service contractor who services three counties. I have had my 510 for 4 weeks and while it has only put me on the door step once, it does get me to the correct road and I can easily find the address from there. I have serviced this area for 12 years and would never have found some of the roads my 510 sends me down, but it has improved my response times tremendously. Less time driving = more billable time on the job. The only drawback for me is in finding a permanent power solution to mount these in my truck and eliminate the unsightly cigarette power cord. I would absolutely reccomend this to others and will be purchasing more for my remaining technicians.

I have two new cars with built in GPS, and I have found the Tomtom has more features, and is easier to use, than the built in nav systems in my 05 and 07 Toyotas. The only drawbacks are that the screen is smaller, and can be harder to see in sun glare, and the risk of theft. Otherwise, I highly reccomend the Tomtom.

Portable and easy to use. Voice instructions makes it easy to go from point A to Point B. Touch screen in logically laid out and my family picked it up in 5 minutes. Maps will need updating, but I was able to get the latest maps for $6 through TOM TOM (still waiting for them to arrive). Screen is clear- bright sunlight makes it a little difficult to read the details, but clear enough. Will be taking it with me on road trips, both for the car as well as walking (nice setting for sight seeing) Lots of bells and whistles I will not use (premium service) such as traffic alerts and camera views. All seem to work through your wireless phone provider. Claims to work with "Blue tooth" technology- but since I don't I can't attest to the ease of this service. Kids like the locator for POI (such as resturants hotels etc) works quickly and efficiently. Maps currently stored were a little outdated- but should be quicky fixed once I get the map update software. TOMTOM when hooked up to the dock and internets updated the software altomatically.

This is the best GPS unit that I have owned so far. I have owned, and been frustrated by both Garmin and Magellan, brands that lack the features and ease of use of my TomTom. TomTom menus are simple and easy to use. You don't have to navigate through multiple menu layers to find what you need. An extra plus is that TomTom allows you to enter coordinates; no longer do you need the address to find a place--especially in rural areas. I really like the 8 satellite link; sure beats the typical 3 to 5 sats on other units. The phone link voice quality is awesome! A million times better than my cell phone's built in speaker. The USB link to my PC is perfect. I have yet to experience any problems. Also, the character voices are so neat and entertaining. This unit is really worth every penny and then some.
