Tommy callahan graduates with a d+ average after seven years ofcollege and returns home to enter the family business. However,when his father takes a new bride and then dies, she and her sonconfront tommy with vicious buyout attempts. In order to savethe plant and the town tommy enlists the aid of richard hayden.

After Tommy (Chris Farley) barely graduates from college, he returns home to the Midwest where his father (Brian Dennehy), the owner of an auto parts factory, immediately employs his dumber-than-dumb son. While Tommy was away at school, his father had fallen in love with a beautiful woman (Bo Derek) and now desires to marry her. During the wedding ceremony, however, Tommy's dad tragically dies from a heart attack, which puts the company's--and its 300 employees'--future at stake. It is up to Tommy to use any available intelligence to keep his father's factory from going under. This road comedy uses the seriously comedic chemistry between the late Farley and his SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE buddy David Spade to brilliant effect.


Plot Summary

After seven years of college finally yields a degree, a dim-witted party animal returns to work at his father's company, only to be forced on the road with an anal-retentive numbers-cruncher to try to save the failing business.

These guys are fantastic together. Even though I prefer more sophisticated movies, this one just makes you laugh until you cry. David Spade throws out the jabs and Chris Farley walks right into them and just keeps on goin'. Not a fantastic story but descent. If you want to forget your troubles and just have a good laugh, you will not be disappointed.

First off, I love Christ Farley. David Spade is ok, but this movie is not funny. I don't see why everyone says this is the funniest comedy ever. It is boring and extremely overrated. A good comedy is Dumb and Dumber.

This is one of the greatest comedies of all time. Chris Farely is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!! There are so many great scenes and lines. I could watch this every day of my life!!
