Excellent cast; the actor portrayals were amazing and the character director and producers are pure genius! I am now an avid fan of these SEXY stars: Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliot. Doc Holliday was from my hometown and I am thrilled that he was so cool!

5 of 5 Great entertainment Saturday, June 01, 2002
CWJ from Bellingham, WA
The plot of the movie is based on a mixture of fact, rumors, and folklore. But this movie was not meant to be a documentary and with such an outstanding cast and dialogue, who cares about the historical accuracy besides the descendants of the Clantons? I must join the chorus of those that believe Val Kilmer should have won an Oscar for his portrayal of Doc Holiday but the entire cast was excellent from A to Z.

5 of 5 Damn Good Monday, December 20, 1999
John from Toms River, NJ
Seen the movie 4 times. Very close to what really happend on the day at the OK Corral. Ive been to Tombstone and seen the actual OK Corral. It's not all fact but darn close. Rent it or bye it. It's well worth it. I have a reprint of the Tombstone newspaper with the whole story right from Tombstone....

5 of 5 Ghost Gives 3 Thumbs Up Friday, November 26, 1999

I don't know what some of these jokers are talking about, but this movie is great. Val Kilmer is excellent and the plot moves along very well and grips you right to the end. Some sections are not too believable, but hey, that's artistic license, so get real. That's what I hate about reviewers, they are such a haze for the rest of us common folk. VTL. --the bomb.

5 of 5 Bigdaddymack should stick to PBS. Friday, November 05, 1999
stoffelmania from Madison, WI
When wanting the truth about any historical event, one should not be consulting Hollywood, but rather PBS. This movie was made to feed your hunger for action while causing some brain stimulation. Who cares if it isn't entirely true as long as the good guys kick tail and look good while doing it. It's a movie you can quote from for a long time.

5 of 5 Very Good Movie! Sunday, October 31, 1999
Chris from Springfield, Oregon
I would agree that this western, as many western do, might have some inaccuracies. It's supposed to be entertainment first and not a documentary. As for the entertainment value I rate it at the top of my list. Val Kilmer should have an Oscar for his performance!

5 of 5 Very entertaining! Thursday, September 16, 1999
Scott from Mound, MN
Even though it's history is misguided, the movie is a blast to watch. Great performances by all involved including the 'Bad Guys'. This is a great feel good movie and the music is inspiring as well. If you don't buy it, then go rent it somewhere and enjoy.

2 of 5 Tombstone Thursday, September 16, 1999
bigdadymack from Palo Alto, CA
Although I don't know which version of Tombstone Motown93 watched, I must assert strongly my expectations for this production was MUCH higher than the end product revealed. This post-modernistic Western was grossly incorrect in the historical events of Wyatt Earp as well as 'The Cowboys.' So in conclusion if you admire the film Fievel Goes West (as I'm sure Motown93 does) then you will be utterly enthralled with Tombstone.

If you like Westerns, you'll LOVE Tombstone. This is a brilliant adaptation of the West and the famous Shootout at the O.K. Coral. Kurt Russell puts in a solid performance as Wyatt Earp, and Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday...Well it's his best perforamnce EVER!
