"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" isn't for the twitchy teenagers (and the manchildren that still act like teenagers) who engage solely in the implausible run-and-gun tactics found in the 3D first person shooters revered by the console players and all members of the trenchcoat mafia. "Ghost Recon" is a realistic team-oriented military combat game that takes full advantage of the capabilities of the Xbox and the Xbox Live. A mature, thrill seeking gamer will not be disappointed.
"Ghost Recon" offers dozens of hours worth of single-player action and unlimited team-oriented multiplay sessions for those fortunate enough to have broadband and a subscription to Xbox Live. Until "Halo 2" turns up at Buy.com, "Ghost Recon" is THE reason to have Xbox Live. Was this review helpful?

This game is cool. This is not a game for those who love to run in fighting. This game involves strategy and stealth. This game is quite realistic as far as fighting. Although this game is very fun, it will not replace Halo. It is fun like Halo, but is a totally different type of game. I would still recommend buying Halo first. Was this review helpful?

This game will give Halo a run for its money. Even Halo developers said it was impressive. It won 2001 PC game of the year award. Supports 16 player with voice capabilities in xbox live. Realistic settings, realistic weapons, realistic tactics. It has improved graphics and gameplay from the PC version. It is the only console version to support online play.
It supports split-screen, system link, coop or teammatch online. Imagine going through one of the single-player missions with 5 of your buddies online! Or if you don't have xbox live, hook up 4 xboxes through system link and have just as much fun! Or if you feel adversarial, play 8 vs 8 and see which team has the bragging rights!
