5 of 5 New TiVo loyalist! Friday, January 12, 2007
A Customer from Pittsburgh, PA

I absolutely love the TiVo service. I was a little worried about hooking the product up and getting it to work, but it was easy as pie! So far, I'm extremely pleased with the product and the service. What a great way to save money on cable without giving up DVR! I decided to get a TiVo when I tried to downgrade my cable service with Comcast and found that DVR service is only available if you pay for digital cable. Since I watch mostly network television, I felt any level of service beyond standard cable was a waste. With TiVo, I essentially pay the same amount for the service as I would have to Comcast without having to pay for all the additional channels that I never watch. Not to mention that I got sick of paying Comcast a significant portion of my income every month and was happy to spread the wealth, especially to a company like TiVo that seems to take great pride in satisfying its customers. Bravo Tivo!

5 of 5 Good-bye video tapes. Hello Tivo. Monday, November 13, 2006
A Customer from Nashville, TN
Tivo fans seem to be almost rabid in their devotion to the Tivo system. This box was recommended to me by at least six co-workers, and after several months of hearing seemingly endless Tivo stories, I took the dive. Admittedly, I am not regretting it. I love the ease of the system set-up, the season-pass option, and the ability to avoid the juggling of VHS tapes. I'm also using the Wireless-G connector, instead of the telephone hook-up and enjoy the ability to program my home box from the office over the internet. There are several more options too, so please read the product info on all that you can do. My rating: two thumbs up, and three if I had another.

5 of 5 Two tuners - what a concept Saturday, October 21, 2006
A Customer from Indianapolis, IN
My VCR went on the fritz so I searched out TiVo options. A 6-hour tape is not enough, but 80 hours (maybe 25 at best resolution) is perfect to cover my traveling. The unit comes with everything needed to hook up either a digital or analog cable system. I had the good fortune to need this unit while a very nice rebate was in effect. I wanted the TiVo subscription, and the manual recommends starting that first. By the time I installed the TiVo and made the wireless connection, my account was active and I was able to start programming my requests. It is easy to use and I love the dual tuners. Great unit.

5 of 5 Dual Tuner is A Nice Feature Thursday, October 12, 2006
A Customer from San Francisco
Just upgraded from the single to the dual tuner. It definitely makes a difference. Otherwise the features are what you would expect from TiVo. If you don't what those are yet, you must have been living on Mars the past few years.

5 of 5 TiVo Wednesday, September 13, 2006
Newsomjm from Sugar Hill, GA
I absolutely love my new TiVo. I don't even have to know the channel #, I can just type in the name of the show and it finds it for me. It is so simple to set up and very simple to use. Much better than the dish company product I was using before.

5 of 5 Good ol' Tivo now dual tuner Monday, July 17, 2006
A Customer from San Jose, CA
First thing, it's a Tivo, which means best user interface, reliable recording, powerful and easy search function, KidZone, TivoToGo to transfer shows to PC and handheld devices, TivoDesktop to view/play your photos and MP3's on your TV. On top of that, this model is dual tuner. If you are using simple analog cable, this is the box for you. If you are sick of the unreliable performance of cable company's DVR, it's a good replacement. It can record from the following sources: 1) analog cable from the coax cable, whatever channels your TV and VCR can get without a cable box or 2) digital/scrambled cable or satellite TV through a cable or satellite set top box. It can record two shows at the same time in these combinations: 1) 2 shows on 2 different analog cable channels or 2) 1 show on an analog cable channel and 1 show on a digital/scrambled cable channel or sat TV channel. You can watch anything already recorded while it's recording, even the show that's still being recorded. It has ethernet network port built-in, so if you have a home-network, you don't need a phone line to make it work. Just connect it to the router, plug cable coax into Tivo, plug your Tivo into your TV, and follow on-screen instructions. Setup can be done in ~30 minutes. Unfortunately nothing is perfect, this box isn't for everyone, if you are in the following situation: 1) You get TV only from over-the-air (OTA) antenna, this Tivo can not tune OTA. A signle tuner Tivo can though. 2) You want HD-DVR. You have to get the cable co's HD-DVR for now (Tivo is coming out with their HD box later in 2006, as well as Comcast will upgrade their DVR to Tivo software). But you can still use this Tivo to record the analog channels in this situation, as most cable channels are still being broadcasted in analog. If you have satellite TV, DirecTV's current HD-DVR is running Tivo software, and is a good option.
