Simply Put, this game is not worth the money and just does not work. Leave it to EA to once again feed us another steady diet of unimaginative garbage. These guys did nothing more than put a small, spin on the 06 version of the same game. Not just that, but there are many, many things wrong with this game.
1. The physics engine is terrible in this game.
2. The yardages on the scorecards are incorrect. How can you have a 130 yard par 5 and a 569 yard par 3 hole in golf???? - HORRIBLE
3. The game is designed to cheat in match play. I'll explain this one - both players have 4 shots and are in the cup, but you still lose the hole and go 1 down - IMPOSSIBLE!
4. The redraw time between holes is incredibly slow, making this an infuriating game to get through.
5. The announcers are still saying the exact same lines as in the 06 version - NO CREATIVITY
6. To play online you MUST ELIMINATE A SECURITY UPDATE IN IE6 in order to play - unbelievable!!
This game belongs on the 3.99 value software rack and NOT on the regular retail shelves.

I'm running this on a fairly new machine (a Dell bought this year) that has Vista Basic Edition on it. The game is jam packed with features and the graphics are awesome. I'm comming across some quirks/defects in the program (All my drivers, etc are up to date from Dell). I almost always have to click the 'Shot Target' button twice (not double click) to get it to work. You have to be VERY careful with your mouse pointer as it changes from 'shot alignment' to 'swing' mode so I find I sometimes start swinging when I meant to click a menu item or adjust the golfer's direction. I haven't found anyplace on the EA website to get updates or log complaints. Was this review helpful?
