5 of 5 Good antenna Monday, May 04, 2009 A Customer from Edgewater, MD
We are using this antenna on our boat and it works great. It is mounted on the fly bridge along a railing and stays out of the way. There is some degradation in the picture at times when the boat moves but generally excellent reception. Buy.com is a good place to buy it too. Shipping was free and fast. Was this review helpful?

I live in The OC and this antenna picks up all the local channels, including those from LA. Every one has multiple sub-channels, including HD. With the sub-channels, there's a ton of great programming -- almost as much as cable. The quality of the HD picture is noticeably better than cable. The only channel I don't get a crystal clear picture on it is ABC. But so far, the antenna is still sitting on top of a speaker in my living room. Once I mount it up in the attic, ABC will probably come in perfect too. We don't need no stinkin' cable! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This antenna works great outside but not inside Sunday, March 22, 2009 MAC from Martinsville,Ohio
as with most antenna's they just work better outside. I have tried many types and it seems no one has been able to create an antenna that works as well on the inside of a home as mounted outside up high. This antenna work great ..its mounted about 25 feet above the ground and brings in clear channels from as far away as 50 miles from me. No complaints. I would recommend it Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth the Money Sunday, March 15, 2009 L&D from Red Oak, IL
We live in a valley about 40 - 50 miles from the closest tower & with this antenna we are able to pick up at least 16 channels. It's easy to mount, but would be rather large for indoor use. We have ours mounted outside. Overall I would say it is worth the money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works well, 'nuf said. Friday, February 27, 2009 Fred from La Vista, NE
I got this to replace a set of rabbit ears that always had to be adjusted. This antenna doubled my reception strength on all channels! I still get a glitch or two when it's really windy, but that's just the station transmitter. I'm going to install a RG6 line to try and boost the reception even more. I live 5 miles from the closest 2 transmitter towers, and they're about 70 degrees off one another. The third, PBS, is 18 miles away and is 100 degrees in another direction. The antenna picks them all up well! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent reception Saturday, February 21, 2009 connie from michigan
When our cable bill rose to 172/month we decided it was time to pare back to just internet services. We first looked at this antenna at Best Buy where it was 99.00, we then saw it at Meijer for 79 and finally came across it at buy.com for 48 with free shipping. So price was the driver. Currently we have it sitting on top of our tv and it looks okay. In the spring we plan to mount it outside. We live about 30 miles from Detroit and the reception is clear and consistent we have a 42 inch lcd tv and the picture on all channels is beautiful. I am so glad we bought this and very glad we bought it from buy.com Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 YES Tuesday, February 17, 2009 A Customer from Bethpage, NY
I live 30 miles from New York City. The antenna on the roof got me 10 stations (a few of them fuzzy). This antenna gets me 48 stations (a few of them fuzzy) and it is only mounted ouside my door. I can't wait to see how many I get when the weather is warmer and I mount it on the roof. WORTH EVERY PENNY. BUY IT.
Make sure you get the 18 db gain. Was this review helpful?

Not only am I stubborn (cheap) and refuse to pay for satellite or cable, I also live in a rural area about 50 miles away from "local" broadcasting. I didn't want to install an old fashioned roof top antenna; they're ugly. This antenna was much cheaper and isn't noticeable. I installed it on the side of the house above the AC unit and utility meters. It's light color blends with the siding.
I receive all of the DTV channels out of Chicago, along with all of the smaller area channels between here and the city. I have a large LCD HDTV and the picture quality is absolutely amazing.
Even better, I split the coax just before the inline power amplifier and hooked the other side up to my stereo receiver (coax -> 2 way splitter -> one out to the stereo, one out to inline amplifier to tv). I've never been able to get more than 2 decent radio channels where I live. Just like the TV stations, I get all of the radio stations and I don't even have an amplifier on that side of the splitter.
This antenna is worth every penny - It's also $20 cheaper here than any where else. Was this review helpful?
