2 of 5 No better than a rabbit. Wednesday, July 01, 2009 No name from Northern VA
I bought this antenna with high hopes that it would outperform our simple rabbit ears with UHF loop. I followed all the instructions and recommendations and tried hard to make it work. It did not. UHF reception was mediocre and it barely picked up VHF signals at all. IMO, this antenna is expensive and no better than cheaper alternatives. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent signal reception in a nearly invisible p Saturday, April 11, 2009 Big from Arlington, VA
Wow, so much more functional and attractive than rabbit ears. I have it stowed between the wall and my subwoofer, and it disappears. Even better, no more cable bills, with free HDTV... Amazing! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Way better than rabbit ears Wednesday, April 08, 2009 Marlin from Spokane, WA
This antenna pulled in channels way better than my amplified rabbit ears AND doesn't need repositioned for each station.
After playing with it at home I took it to my son's appartment in Everett, WA. It pulled in all the Seattle stations! That's 22 channels including the dot 1's and 2's etc. I have it connected to a Zenith DTT901 converter box.

4 of 5 Reception results will vary. Monday, March 23, 2009 A Customer from Milwaukee, Wi
As with any indoor antenna, results will vary depending on location and station signal strength. Overall I prefer this style antenna over rabbit ears and would purchase another. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 We have a winner! Monday, March 09, 2009 Mike from Fort Worth, Texas
Our house is wired for TV with a strong antenna in the attic above the second floor. That antenna brings in all HD and analog stations in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metro area. However, we wanted to add a new 19" HD TV on the breakfast bar which separates the kitchen sink area from the breakfast nook area. This new location is on the ground floor, in the middle of the room and at least 25 feet from the nearest wall outlet to the existing attic antenna. And, it's at the back of the house away from the DFW TV towers.
So, we placed the elegant ANT1550 flat on the breakfast bar a few feet from the television, with the cables out of sight on the sink side. Moreover, we placed a small plant on top of the antenna: the antenna looks like a plant coaster and just disappeared!
Get this: I receive channels 2 through 68 without using the removable amplifier! I am experimenting with the best placement of the antenna and will add the amp later. Without the amp, I am able to cause modest pixellation at times but only when I walk just so between the antenna and the exterior windows at the back of the house. This seems to indicate that our ANT1550 is primarily harvesting TV signals that bounce off the houses and fences behind us!
You can view the ANT1500 at WalMart, but you can buy the ANT1550 for even less here. The ANT 1550 is the ANT 1500 plus the amplifier. By the way, all associated parts are high quality.

3 of 5 Mediocre Performance Saturday, March 07, 2009 A Customer from Meriden, CT
This RCA ANT1550 works better than VHF rabbit ears and a UHF clip on bow tie. This antenna doesn't work as well as the Winegard SS-3000. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Really like it Sunday, March 01, 2009 A Customer from Mesa, AZ
Bought 2 to replace our satellite dish service. Upstairs TV receives all 15 local stations clear and in HD. Downstairs TV is missing one of the local stations (We're in a townhouse complex). Great value, better than putting out $70 for useless satellite/cable service. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great Saturday, February 28, 2009 Lisa from Cumming. GA
I get great high def signal with this antenna. I do have to move it around a bit to get some channels. But for the most part I can get the major networks with the antenna in one position. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 better than expected Saturday, January 17, 2009 A Customer from Temple City, CA
I got this to replace my clumsy terk antenna. This unit surpassed my expectations and blends into the room nicely. The only thing is that you need to intall it above 6' for it to pull in all the channels. I live in Temple City, CA and receive everything well with the exception of channel 7, in which case, I need to lower the antenna a couple of feet to receive it properly. Was this review helpful?
