1 of 5 Haven't been able to use it yet... Wednesday, March 05, 2008 A Customer from Brenham, TX
I bought this product several months ago and I haven't been able to use it yet. I contacted the manufacter before I bought it and asked if it was compatible with Windows Vista and they told me yes. I bought it, and now I am out the money, b/c I can't get it to work with Vista. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not Particularly User Friendly Tuesday, January 29, 2008 Bobbie from Duluth, GA
I have an older version of Print Shop that I really like. On my first attempt to use this new version, I found it to be less than user friendly. I'll admit I was in a bit of a hurry and expected it to be intuitive. It wasn't. It does appear to have alot to offer, and I think that perhaps the user friendly component of older versions was sacrificed to versatility. Great price, as always, on BUY.Com Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I love this software! Tuesday, January 29, 2008 GJW from Alpharetta, GA

5 of 5 Just what I was looking for. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 skipper7hall@hotmail.com from Fredericksburg, VA
The software performed just right. I was looking for a program to edit and print pictures and this fits the bill. The only down side was the time it took to get the program. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good value for the money Monday, January 28, 2008 A Customer from East Brunswick, NJ
I have been using an older version of Printshop for years. It is a nice program, and this version 22 is fine. It works well with XP. Now has a photo editing program which I like. Comes with a 348 page user manual which I really like. Much easier than online user manuals. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Value, BUT Monday, January 28, 2008 David from SLC UT
I echo Brad's analysis. The least any application could do is to examine the system and determine that newer versions of software exist, i.e., don't install an older version. The abundance of unwanted/unneeded desktop icons is irritating but the delete button solves that problem. Ten bucks for a DVD is irritating. The product does what it supposed to do so it is a bargain. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Package Sunday, January 27, 2008 A Customer from Burlignton, NJ
I like the PrintShop 22 quite a lot. It is very easy to use and has tons of images included for almost every day use. Great product for the price. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 I don't like it. Friday, January 25, 2008 airlee@verizon.net from Bandon, Oregon
I started out using Print Shop in the very beginning of their business. The program was really good until they sold or turned it over to Mattel. It was much more user friendly and I liked the frames much better. I purchased this version because I saw the Broderbund name on the program rather than Mattel. Unfortunately, the program is like the Mattel version and not the original Broderbund versions. I wasted my money. I will look on ebay for an older version of the program which I liked much better.
The only reason I purchased this version is that I lost my CD's for the previous versions. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Wonderful Product (as long as you don't use VISTA) Friday, January 25, 2008 GG from South Florida
i couldn't get it to work on my laptop (running Vista)... and i should've seen that coming since there were so many reviews around the net that said this already... I did install it on my desktop that is running XP and it does work wonderfully on there... too bad I really only use my laptop though... i have used version 20 for a long time and quite useful too... the upgrade to 22 for me is good but doesn't seem to be that much different though. Very useful for the kids with school projects...
the low score is because of the fact that i can't run it on my computer... if I could use it on here then i would definetely give it a 4 or 5 (leaning toward 5) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent product Tuesday, January 22, 2008 tpassarino@yahoo.com from Ballico, Ca. 95303
Great product, but it was advertised as new, however the box was not sealed, and had been opened. The CD's were not sealed and the first several pages of the book had been opened. I think that this product has been installed before. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The pessimist's point of view... Monday, January 14, 2008 Brad from Rego Park, NY
Yep, the software's insistence on installing .Net Framework 1.1 on a system that already has 2.0 on it seems quite absurd, and may have something to do with it misbehaving on Vista. Fortunately it seems fine so far on my XP box.
I was surprised by the .Net stunt, but not before being surprised by the software's inclusion of a 4.5" x 6.5" 348 page printed (b&w) manual. Rather unusual these days, with most publishers relying on intuitive software design and the [F1] key for help. Then I was further surprised - shocked actually - to see the software delivered on four CDs rather than a DVD (with an offer to get the DVD for another $10). Not that it matters much in this age of huge hard drives. A full install is supposed to take 1.8 GB and it takes less than 20 minutes on a fast system.
So 2,134 files and 2.4 GB later (yes, 2.4 GB, not 1.8), and after installing the two sequential patches for .Net Framework 1.1, and deleting the new icons left on my desktop for Broderbund and NetZero, it works fine.
Since I'm getting a full value rebate on this I'd hate to give this package anything less than a five for value, and I can't really complain about the ease of use or performance, so color me happy all around. I think it's worth it just for the fonts alone, and Print Shop has been a cinch to use since, well, longer than I care to admit. Tons of categories and artwork, lots of options and tools. Heckuva product. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Print Shop 22 Tuesday, January 01, 2008 Johnie from Columbus, MS

2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 3 of 5 doesn't like Vista Tuesday, December 18, 2007 foxrose from Tallahassee, FL
PS 22 has some nice features not found in PrintMaster, including access to a lot of on-line graphics. BUT this version is NOT Vista-compatible. They do provide a patch but that may or may not work. It uses .NET vers. 1.1 which installs automatically and it MAY mess up what's installed already. Even after the patch goes in the program still is flakey, crashing quite often (freezing, especially while trying to get on-line graphics), which necessitates cleaning out cookies etc. Very annoying. Too bad. I ASSUME it works ok on XP. -- The price is right, so it might make a nice gift for people with XP machines Was this review helpful?
