| Author Bio| Fareed Zakaria | | Born in India into a professional family--his father was an author/politician and his mother edited a newspaper--Fareed Zakaria grew up to become the editor of Newsweek International. He became better known as one of the talking heads on Sunday morning programs such as This Week with George Stephanopoulos, as well as for many appearances on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Zakaria was educated at Yale and Harvard universities. He worked at the distinguished journal Foreign Affairs and is known for the cover article "The Politics of Rage: Why Do They Hate Us?" written for Newsweek after the 9/11 attacks. ||Zakaria's book THE FUTURE OF FREEDOM (2003) is a highly regarded analysis of democracy and the conditions under which it can be viable. THE POST-AMERICAN WORLD (2008) is a projection as well as a prescription for how America can regain its lost status following the departure of the George W. Bush administration. Zakaria's political journey is interesting to many, and unknown to some.
