| | | | WHERE IS BUNNICULA? That's what Chester the cat, Harold the dog, and Howie the dachshund puppy would like to know. When Chester makes the chilling discovery that Bunnicula the vampire bunny has vanished from his cage in the Monroe household, his head is filled with visions of killer parsnips, bloodthirsty string beans, and homicidal heads of lettuce! Everyone knows that vampire victims become vampires themselves -- and the neighborhood gardens reveal the ultimate horror: bloodless zombie vegetables! Determined to save Bunnicula's victims and the unsuspecting Monroes, Chester leads the valiant friends on a wild bunny chase involving a hazardous garbage truck ride, a hair-raising encounter with an irate tomcat...and that's just the beginning!
| Author Bio| James Howe | | James Howe's career as a writer began in grade school when he wrote and edited a newsletter, "The Gory Gazette," for his classmates and friends. Although he loved writing, Howe's original career goal was to be an actor. After graduating from Boston University, he moved to New York City with his wife, Deborah, to pursue acting jobs. The couple began writing the book BUNNICULA in 1977, not realizing that Howe was beginning a new career as a children's writer. Since Deborah Howe's death in 1978, James Howe has written several sequels to their original work, as well as picture books, novels, and nonfiction. |
