From Newbery Medal winner Sharon Creech comes an imaginative tale about spoiled royals and the peasant children who transform their lives. Unabridged. 5 CDs.

Annotation:
Set in medieval Italy, this fablesque fairy tale by Newbery-winner Sharon Creech follows the intertwining lives of the foolish and wealthy with the poor and imaginative. Two peasant children are caught up in the lives of the royal family at Castle Corona when they discover a very special pouch. A humorous, magical story unravels alongside a handful of gorgeous illustrations.

Praise
"Creech combines traditional fairy-tale elements and expectations with a decidedly light touch to create her subtle political fable. The story is breezy and light despite the book's length; the author's graceful language conjures a serene vision of life in her imagined kingdom while gently sending up fairy-tale stereotypes." 11/1/2007
