5 of 5 Great Reception Tuesday, August 26, 2008 A Customer from Santa Fe, NM
I bought this an add-on receiver for my old-design Terk system. It worked with the old transmitter, but so much better than any of the other receivers with the original transmitter. The design is much improved and is much more durable. So good, in fact, that I replaced both the transmitter and receivers for our original setup.
The sound and picture are great. I wouldn't know it was not a hard-wired signal. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Did not perform as told it would Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Bob M. from Morehead City, NC
Before purchasing this product I was told that it could be attached to my laptop by way of S video cable. My laptop has the S video port, but the cable was not supplied with the product and there are no S video ports on the product. I have no use for this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The perfect answer... Tuesday, April 22, 2008 Lori from Bay Area, California
I picked this product as an answer to needing an additional location in our home for sattelite reception. The cost of going thru the sattelite provider was too much as we only need it for a temporary period of time...When I found this, I decided it was worth a try. Like magic, it works great! Set up was very simple, all of the features work including being able to control the channels from both locations. I don't experience any interference...both the picture and sound at the secondary location are clear and consistant. Thanks for the perfect solution to a potentially costly problem! 5 of 5 works like a charm Saturday, April 05, 2008 Bob A from Chicago,Il
I was skeptical but I read other reviews and it was all positive.Let me tell you, so easy to setup and it works great. The only downside is a possibility of inteference but after moving it around for awhile I get a clean signal. Was this review helpful?

I am very happy with this product. It sends a great video signal. I used it with an HD satellite and TV and it sent a very good picture, not quite as good as a direct HD connection but very good considering the RCA connectors are the only option. It does take a few minutes to create a good signal but once the antennaes are pointed in the right direction it works great. My cordless phone causes interference when using it. Wireless network had no effect on it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Better than expected Wednesday, March 08, 2006 Mike from Vandalia, IL
I just recieved the leap frog and told a friend how well it worked and he is going to buy one and probably his brother will too. It was simple to hook up and the picture and sound is as clear as if it was hooked directly to my satellite dish reciever. The signal is traveling about 50 feet and going threw one wall and is very clear. The other nice thing is having universal remote progrmaed for the TV and the satellite reviever and being able to change the satellite reciever channels and have full control of all of it's functions right from leap frog reciever hooked to the TV. I highly recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great idea, many manufacturers, one drawback Thursday, February 17, 2005 ricky tic from falls church,VA
Among all 2.4mHz A/V transceivers one must take into account the interference factor. Not only physical blockages ,either fixed or temporary (a person walking by), but autos within close proximity to your house without resistor type sparkplugs will interfere , annoying but acceptable. But when my kids run the microwave oven for over two minutes, it drives me up the wall! You must quickly mute the sound or you'll wake the dead. Also, as mentioned, 900mHz cordless phones as well as cellular phones do not cause any problem, however if you have a 2.4 mHz cordless phone, the TV will go wild when it rings and cannot be watched at all until the call is concluded. Even in light of such drawbacks, one will be satisfied with the usefulness of this product. Was this review helpful?

This is the first time I've ever written a review for something purchased online but felt this product deserved my input. The transmitter is at one end of my house downstairs while the receiver is on the other end of the house upstairs with many plaster walls and rooms in between. I'd say its at least fifty feet not counting the fact that they are on different levels of the house.
I was not expecting it to work as advertised, honestly I thought I'd connect it, play with it, and end up sending it back. I couldn't have been more wrong. The picture is perfect and the sound perfect also. The picture will "crackle" a small bit if someone walks down the hallway blocking the signal but its not a big disturbance and to be expected. The ability to control the dvd downstairs with a remote upstairs is awsome. My only complaint about this product is that you have to manually turn it off via a small switch on the sides of both the receiver and transmitter. I'm just leaving them turned on, hope that it doesn't burn my house down.
Oh, I did notice that when I use my bluetooth pda that it interferes with the broadcast, my 900mhz phone does not but I'm betting a 2.4Ghz phone would cause interference.
One more thing, the manual doesn't tell you but the cordless phone-like antenae on the side is to send/receive the remote control signals. I found that I did have to have both of these standing straight up to work right.
I would write more but suffice it to say this product works as advertised with awsome quality. Was this review helpful?
