I live in an apartment that really never got good reception even on the analog channels. I guess it's the steel framing...? In anycase with this antenna I am able to recieve clear crisp broadcasts over the air and to me even better than using a cable or Dish service. The signal is great and I can't wait till all broadcasts convert to digital now just to see how many more channels I'll be getting for free... If your like me and nowadays looking to save in every possible way using a digital antenna of this quality gives you the reception you look for with other services for just the one time price of the antenna, which I must say Buy has it at a very good price compared to many other places I looked at. Overall it's a good product at a decent price and depending on your HD TV and it's capabilities (if it's a 720 or a 1080) you should recieve a beautiful picture as I do.... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value Wednesday, April 01, 2009 Tom from Bristol , Indiana
I live in a wooded area about 25 miles from the source. This
antenna picked all local feeds (10) with ease. I was skeptical
when I ordered the antenna but it has performed as advertised.
Great value and performance. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good indoor digital antenna Saturday, March 14, 2009 A Customer from Grand Rapids, MI
Television reception certainly improved with the addition of this antenna. I purchased this antenna because indoor installation far easier than outdoor mounting. Despite recommended placement guidelines, I actually have this antenna in my basement drawing signal to two televisions upstairs. The antenna is hidden downstairs and works great. Still hard to pick up geographically distant and weaker network signals, but "close" stations come in so much better than they did with rabbit ears. I am very satisfied ... improved reception with minimal expense and installation effort. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Feedback misleading Thursday, March 12, 2009 Bruce Rush from Woodland Hills (CA)
I bought this HDTV Antenna based on the reviews but I was kind of disappointed with the result.
I am only able to receive in clear 2 channel such as NBC and CBS and all others are kind of fuzzy or blurry.
If you want to by a HDTV antenna go with those which come with an amplifier. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome Monday, March 09, 2009 Soumen Nandy from Fayetteville, AR
Worth every penny............never knew so many HDMI channels were floating by me and it fealt really great to caught them on "screen". But had a little issue with changing the position from horizontal to vertical, still trying that but failed. Anyway doesn't effect the performance.Great buy and worth every penny. 3 of 5 Works great...looks like a big metal aircraft piec Saturday, January 17, 2009 A Customer from Springfield, OH
Easy to setup and see immediate results. The assembled attena is bigger than we thought so it's difficult to find a place for it that isn't the focal point. (Wife thinks it ugly) It sits on top of our corner entertainment cabinet. The reception is great with our HDTV, and we receive better signal and more channels than two other models we tested previously. And, 99.8% of the time we don't have to adjust the placement to get the obscure broadcast channels. Note: we have aluminum siding, which typically can interfere with reception, but we live in an established neighborhood with older 2-story homes, large shade trees. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Saturday, December 27, 2008 Gary from China Grove, NC
This HD Digital antenna works great with the 5 or 6 digital local channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, Public TV, UNC TV) I am able to receive in my area. Clear as a bell picture coming in at 1080i reception. Weather can cause reception problems, but that happens with cable or dish companies as well. Great product, great savings over having to pay cable rates for the same great picture I am now receiving. Keep up with finding great products at great prices. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 It works 95% of the time, better than 45% of the t Wednesday, August 27, 2008 patherndon from Memphis, Tennessee
I was skeptical because I live in a heavily tree area and the location of my tv is blocked by a pre fab metal walled fireplace and directly above it in the attic, is the heating/air unit with metal duct work. There is no other place to put the tv. I hooked this antenna up and it works 95% of the time. I get all the channels clearly late in the afternoon, evenings, and early mornings, that plain and simple. Far superior than the RCA and Radio Shack rabbit ears I had. If I opted to pay Cable or Direct tv then I would have the channels all the time. I will not pay to have access to tv for the limited time I watch it. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 HD Antenna falls short of perfect Monday, August 25, 2008 Robyn from Los Angeles, California
This antenna works better than my old rabbit ears. When it works well, the picture is very clear. However, in an area where reception is blocked by many buildings, I get a lot more failures than before HDTV was stuffed down my throat. With the old way, I got snow but I could still watch programs. With a converter box and my old rabbit ears, some stations didn't come in at all. With this antenna, they're coming in but several times in an hour show part of the screen will just turn into pixels like a jigsaw puzzle. It's usually not random but annoyingly specific, such as the entire image of a person in the middle of the screen - with all the surrounding area clear. Ocassionally the entire screen just goes blank with a friendly message of "WEAK SIGNAL". I don't think you can really blame it on the antenna. It's just the fact of life of HDTV. If TV is really important to you, then forget about an antenna especially if you are in a difficult reception area. Spring for cable or some other pay system. It will save a lot of cursing when the picture disappears just when the plot that you've been biting your nails over is resolved. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worked a lot better than some rabbit ears Friday, August 15, 2008 Bill from Summerville South Carolina
Antennaweb.org lists my digital stations being 24.5 miles away. I was only getting one digital channel before. I had some RCA amplified rabbit ears (vhf/uhf) hooked up to a digital converter box. The reviews for this antenna looked good and the price was just a bit above twenty bucks and change.
The TERK HDTVi antenna brought in all the stations nice and clear. I'm getting 76-100 signal strength on the various stations. This is in the back bedroom of a one story house.
I am very satisfied with the product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works fine Wednesday, June 25, 2008 A Customer from Chicago
Works as advetised, but not better than a regular powered rabbit ear antenna.
If you have a powered rabbit ear antenna, than there is no reason to change it, it will be the same. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It's not the antenna so much as where I'm located Wednesday, June 18, 2008 Buy.com customer from Fairfax, VA
This is my first indoor antenna. I get a strong signal (according to Windows Media Center) from all the local HD OTA channels - NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, MYNetwork, CW and a slew of PBS channels. The reception on all the channels that have a strong signal cuts in and out or hangs for a a few seconds. This happens on a consistent basis. I don't know if that's because of location or the antenna. I live on the top (4th) floor of my condo building and the antenna is pointed out the window. There are tall trees and buildings within a few blocks of my home. I would recommend trying out the antenna and see if you are satisfied with the results. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Pleasant Suprise Saturday, June 14, 2008 Ren from Houston, TX
I was about to take a cable connection, then thought of giving HDTV atenna a try. I am getting most of the good channels I wanted. The key is direction of the anteena, slightest change makes a lot of difference in reception, you've to get it right. Initially I got very few channnels, then day by day with adjustments to direction I got quality channels. Heard you've to be atleast 15-20 miles near to the broadcasting tower, Iam in Hoston,TX. Give it a try.. its worth the money, that too a one time investment.... no monthly charges. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pulled in distant station. Wednesday, June 04, 2008 JimmyP from Sanford, FL

5 of 5 Great site... Friday, March 14, 2008 A Customer from Queens NY
I normally dont write reviews but i hope this will be of useful information for others. I am in Queens,NY and this antenna didnt do a thing for me i dont no if its defective or anything but the antenna website did help and i didnt check that website before purchasing this item but the web recommended from the antenna website which was the bow tie antenna works for me. I was able to pull a few HD channels very clearly but i just have to adjust the antenna for the channels but at least it was able to pull them in clearly so i was happy with just a few clear channels. :-)
anyway the bow tie is a TERK product too and buy.com and the merchant who shipped this didnt give me any problems with refunding my purchase. BUY is a great website even if this antenna didnt work for me.
Happy searching....i hope this info can help others who r looking for antennas.

5 of 5 Works great! Monday, January 28, 2008 Holly from Midlothian, TX
This was highly recommended on the Buy.com website. It performs very well. Once in a while we see a little glitch in the picture on a couple of stations, but it's only for a second. We can enjoy ALL the football games on ALL the stations, now! Also, it fits in with a modern decorating scheme. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 great item Monday, December 17, 2007 schleapf from chicago, il
i bought this antenna not too long ago, and it works great. i can't say absolutely anything bad about it. the signal is good, even if i live in a basement. and it's not amplified. the only way i could get a signal like this was with an ampllified antenna, but this one is even better, and it works with HD channels witch is very important to me. 5 of 5 Does what it says Friday, December 07, 2007 A Customer from Richardson, TX
We are about 35 mi from the towers and, even at this distance, we're able to pick up just about everything in the area, including the major networks. The picture and sound quality are great! Best antenna we've ever owned. Very easy to set up. Was this review helpful?

This antenna is better than other powered indoor antenna. However, I could not get any of the high def channel over the air. There are at least two channels that I know should be clear. Otherwise, this device works fine. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Antenna, easy set up. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from DFW metroplex, Texas
You could spend $100 and not have a better antenna. Easy to set up behind your TV. I have a 46" Sony Bravia and have this antenna sitting right behind my TV. I live between 15 to 25 miles from the Tower sites in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It took a few trys to get the direction right for the antenna to point, but once that was figured out the picture has been great for the last 2 months. Check your distances to the transmitting towers and if within 25 miles then this antenna is great. A longer distance and you may need an outdoor antenna. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great performance at an affordable price Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Stan from Champaign, IL
I have this antenna in my office on the 5th floor. I can pick up stations 70 miles away with this thing, it's amazing! Before putting up an outdoor antenna, give this one a try. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Stop Paying for Hi-Def via Cable/Satellite Monday, November 19, 2007 A Customer from Columbus, OH
I live about 20 miles out from most of the transmitters in my area. Analogs come in great, and that was before I got my HDTV. Digitals are excellent. I can pick up the digital version of channels that I barely pick up the analogs of. Be sure to visit http://antennaweb.org to find the channels in your area you are missing. Easy set up, relatively small footprint, and not as likely to get hit by lightning (unless you put it outside, which you should not). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome, gets everything Wednesday, September 26, 2007 Mike from New York City, NY (UWS)
I initially bought a radioshack antenna for slightly more than this Terk even with buy.com shipping. It was terrible, I got like 2 channels. With this Terk HDTVi I get everything with relatively minimal position/direction adjustments. It's completely awesome. Absolutely recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Superior guality picture. Friday, September 21, 2007 Cody from Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex
If you live in a major metroplex or close to the towers in your area then this is the HDTV antenna you need. There is no need for a more expensive antenna. There is no outside installation and it's simple to install. I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, 15 miles from the towers in the area according to the antenna tower location web site. I set this antenna up on the cabinet behind my TV pointed it in the right direction, set the TV up and it's a great picture. Took about 15 minutes. We now have 30 channels where we use to have 16 and every channel a great picture, which is what your after right. We do not have cable or satellite, but now we have a 46" LCD with a great picture. Buy.com had this for a great price and I received the antenna in 4 days with UPS Ground shipping cost. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Stop paying your cable company for a free digital Thursday, December 28, 2006 Dan from Flower Mound. Texas
If you live in a major metropolitan area, do not spend big $$$ buying a external or amplified antenna before trying this one. This unit is not powered, it is simply a HD antenna that attaches to you TV via a coax cable. I ordered this two days ago, received it yesterday and immediately attached it to my HDTV. I am able to get a strong signal on all OTA HD channels in my area (Dallas/Fort Worth). When comparing the picture quality to my analog cable, I question why I am paying $50 a month for a far inferior picture. You can't go wrong with this unit. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Does a Good Job Thursday, December 21, 2006 A Customer from Belleville, Il
I live 20 miles outside of St Louis, I get all the ST Louis stations in very good HD quality reception. Antenna is behind 37" LCD in TV armoire. Definitely a decent alternative to cable/satellite.

This antenna will not clearly pick any stations up in my area....I've tried everything, most signals are only coming from 10 miles away and still nothing....Only left to try is to mount it in my attic and run the line downstairs to my t.v. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Very impressive antenna! Monday, November 20, 2006 A Customer from Milwaukee, WI
I just purchase a Sony XBR2 LCD TV, but I don't even have cable or satellite TV at home. I never had luck with picking up UHF/VHF OTA signals, so I just used my old TV for DVD's and video games. But I decided to try an HDTV OTA antenna for my new TV based on the reviews I've read here and other places.
This is antenna is very impressive! I'm amazed at the quality and quantity of the stations I am receiving. Just by connecting this antenna, I have all the local HD channels and they look great! In all fairness, I didn't even bother extending or adjusting the UHF/VHF dipoles, so the reception on those channels is lousy. But this antenna picked up more UHF/VHF channels and HD channels than Antennaweb said I would.
The other nice feature that I haven't seen mentioned is that the antenna can connect to its base either horizontially (like all the pictures you see) or vertically. The manual says changing the orientation may help your signal, but I didn't notice any difference in reception. But if you wanted to mount the antenna vertically, this antenna would have a very small footprint! I'd say about only 4" wide, by 16" high, instead of about 16" wide and 10" high with the usual horizontal arrangement. I can have it sitting on the TV stand behind my flat panel and you can't even tell it's there. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 great HDTV antenna Friday, October 27, 2006 Barb from Boston, MA
This antenna works great. I receive beautiful HDTV picture. The analog tv reception is decent. It's great for some channels and not as great for others as it would be expected. The box says this antenna is only good for urban areas so it's not recommended if you live more than a few miles from the tv stations. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Excellent HD antenna Tuesday, December 06, 2005 A Customer from New York City, NY
It’s small, it looks great & catches HD channels with ease (although they do recommend for using in metro areas & as high as possible – I’m on the third floor…)
UHF channels come out crappy; then again it is only natural since any “rabbit ears” antennas are simply useless (thus no need to expand rabbit ears – you’ll save valuable space). If you have a HD set & live in a big city (& you can’t afford cable or satellite) you must get this antenna!

I was skeptical of purchasing an HDTV antenna for under $25, but I went ahead anyway. It works fine in my area, although I can see where there might be problems if one lived in a obstructed area. My HDTV stations come in perfectly. The antenna is small, neatly fits anywhere, couldn't be easier to assemble or use. Was this review helpful?
