5 of 5 Best Deal I Could Find Sunday, January 18, 2009 Scott from Atlanta
I bought the Atdec Telehook Universal Tilt wall mount for my 52" HDTV. Can't argue with the price and with the $30 MAIL IN REBATE, this purchase was a no brainer. When I had my installation guy come over to install my new tv over the fireplace, he was amazed at the deal for this wall mounting bracket. Thanks, it was a great transaction here! 5 of 5 Great Mount even better quality Friday, January 09, 2009 Fernando from Orlando
i bought a peerless mount for my 32 inch lcd... but i upgraded my tv to a 42 inch plasma. the peerless mount of course didn't come with screws for my 42 inch plasma and the s***ty plastic anchors prob wouldn't hold my new tv
So i bought this mount twice the price but 30 dollar mail in rebate made it the same price. i should get it soon
This item's quality is incredible. the screws and anchors are huge and they prob will hold a 60 inch plasma. unlike my other mount this one has every size screw you can think of for any tv.
Definitely worth the money and i will buy from this company again Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Same (minor) problem everyone else has but overall Monday, December 29, 2008 Jason S. from Jacksonville, FL
What matters in the end:
You can hang your body off the mount without fear of tearing it off the wall. The TV isn't going anywhere.
The minor problem:
The tilt locking mechanism is really just a screw that you turn with a lever. The levers are too long and when you go to tighten or loosen it the levers will either hit your tv/mount or the wall. They need to be shorter. Cut the levers shorter before you even start and you won't have a problem. Even if you don't cut them (I didn't) it'll be "tight enough" anyway, probably.
Unrelated to the levers are the security rails.
The half of the mount that goes on your tv has 4 hooks that latch onto the part that you mount to the wall. Once the TV is hanging you slide in two security rails. If you don't use the rails you can bump the TV from below and have it fall off the wall. With the rails in place the TV can't move high enough to fall off the hooks. I tested with the rails in place and lifted and jiggled trying to take the TV off the wall and it wouldn't come up high enough to unhook. Use the rails. You don't have to lock them in place with two padlocks but you can. I used cable ties. You just don't want the rails sliding out.

5 of 5 Good buy Saturday, December 27, 2008 A Customer from Lodi, NJ
I haven't sent in the rebate yet, but this is a great mount for the price. Bestbuy and other stores sell mounts in the $100-150 range, and for what?
This is easy to install, very sturdy, and the tilt is useful if you need it.
The only advice I have is that if you don't plan to use the tilt, you may want to get a low-profile mount. The difference between the low-profile mount and this one is the distance between the LCD and the wall. The low profile will almost be "glued" to the wall, while this mount will have about an inch between the wall and the back of the LCD.

**This review assumes I receive the promised rebate**
This wall mount was delivered quickly, easy to install, and works as promised. The tilt function is the feature that sets this mount apart. It works simply and accurately. I guess there is not much else to say. Buy it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 fantastic value Tuesday, December 23, 2008 steve from divernon, IL
This is comparable to brackets that sell for over $100 in retail stores. But after the rebate of $30 it cost me less than $40. It is a quality product that was delivered very quickly. I would recommend this to anyone who is purchasing a new LCD/plasma TV. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Too large for 32" Sunday, December 21, 2008 Ray from Kirkwood, MO
Although the mount is listed to fit 32 to 63 inch TV's the smallest should be about 42 inch. The mount was exactly the same width as my 32 inch TV. I had to get another one, this mount is still sitting in the box. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Product great. Service and follow up. TERRIBLE Thursday, December 18, 2008 A Customer from Farmington, UT
The product was all I had hoped for. However the rebate info was not available and after several e-mails I found the rebate form. They would not accept the rebate without a receipt. After 3 e-mails requesting a receipt, I gave up. I will not purchase anything thru buy.com again. Was this review helpful?

Good solid wall mount. Great value with the $30 rebate. Fast, free shipping. What could be better.
Installed easily, make sure to find the center of studs because these screws are gigantic. The budget shipping was here in a couple of days. Hopefully the rebate comes through just as easily. This was my first buy.com purchase and cannot believe the tremendous savings. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Slippery part can mean trouble for heavy tv Sunday, June 01, 2008 specterman from austin, tx
I especially like the low price on this mount. The hardest part was finding the studs in the wall. Once you've accomplished that, the rest is pretty easy. But there were no instructions on matching up the bolts with your tv. It's pretty much trial and error, then the slippery metal washers would not hold my tv in place once i mounted it. It kept sliding down, exposing the mount behind the tv. Luckily, I had some rubber washers on hand. Once I added those, the rack was able to hold my tv in place. Also, the locking slats seem kind of flimsy and fit very loosely. Overall, it does the job. Was this review helpful?

This is a great product for the price. It took me less than an hour to mount my new 42" flat screen television. I highly recommend this kit if you are looking for a mounting kit for your 32 plus inch flat screen TV. Thanks Buy.com for offering this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 quality plus value for money Tuesday, May 20, 2008 A Customer from Potomac, MD
Was sceptical of this Unbelievable Price but based on reviews I ordered one to re-install a 100lb plasma. This is a quality product replacing a Wall Mount I paid $275 for. Advantage of this design is it is more simple than some so less to go wrong. Installation was a breeze. Mounting rails do appear flimsy as some have said but once TV is hung the unit is secure and robust. Security rails give extra piece of mind. Delivered on time as always. Highly recommended. 5 of 5 Great value, good product Wednesday, May 14, 2008 Tristan from Idaho
Mount came shipped quickly (as usual). Easily went up on the wall with included hardware. One drawback is that lower lag screws require (for me anyway) use of an open-ended wrench because of the flange for securing the bottom of the tilt bracket. But only a minor inconvenience if you have the arm strength for manually screwing it into the wall. Security braces a little flimsy, but work effectively. Tilting a little annoying going from side to side, but you should probably only need to do it once. Overall a great product at a killer price. Was this review helpful?

Worked well fo my Vizio 42" lcd. The wall fasteners that were supplied were much too large in my opinion. I bought some smaller lag bolts at my local hardware store. I would purchase the same mount again yes...... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Amazing Product - But it at BUY.COM Sunday, April 27, 2008 Joel from IL
The Atdec is amazing and at an amazing price, especially with the $30.00 rebate that they were offering. I paid $69.99 (after rebate, $39.99) for a product that would retail from $99.99 to $179.99 at Best Buy / Circuit City. I hung my 52" Samsung LCD with ease, took about 30 minutes. I mounted it on the back wall (solid wood & designed to mount LCD's on) of our entertainment unit. Can't see the mount at all, LCD appears as if it's floating in the unit - sweet look. I do agree, based of other feedback, that if you're mounting it on a wall make sure you lock the unit from sliding side to side as it could possibly slid off the mount itself if extended too far to one side. My enterainment unit has shelving on either side, the side to side isn't an issue for me as I can only slide the LCD 5" left or right. Additionally, yes, the amount of hardware they provide is overkill, but nice to have for other projects. A must have at a GREAT PRICE!!!
And Buy.com - very prompt. Even though I select the 7-11 day shipping, which is free, the procduct always arrives within 3 to 5 days vis FedEx and trackable. Buy.com is also GREAT! Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Worth the money Thursday, April 24, 2008 A Customer from Fresno Ca
I bought this item because of the price and was pleasantly suprised with the item when I got it. It is easy to mount, sturdy and well made. For $39.99, you can't beat the price for a tilt mount and recommend it to all. Best Buy had them for $250 and Costco for $100. As previously mentioned it did not reach the 3rd wall stud, but I mounted the 4 bolts in the center and on one end, and it held a 47" LCD just fine. The handles to tighten the tilt are a bit on the long side, but I was able to turn them until it tightened. Was this review helpful?

Easy to install. Strong, adjustable and inexpensive. What else could you want. Shorter levers to lock the tilt function as they are to long and contact the wall mount when trying to release or tighten them. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Good product with limitations Thursday, April 17, 2008 A Customer from Yankton, SD
The good: Cheap. Includes hardware for many different applications. Quality parts with nice powdercoat finish.
The bad: Does not span three wall studs, so placement will be a problem for some people...if only they had made the wall mount 3" longer. The "locking brackets" are cheesy, but they do work. The levers used to lock the tilt function are too long and contact the wall mount when trying to release them. You will have to set the tilt angle before hanging, or find a hacksaw and shorten the levers 1/2" up front.
Conclusion: Good product but check your installation location up front to make sure you don't end up with a stud in the middle and one at the end, which will leave 1/2 the bracket totally unsupported. I fabricated extensions to reach the 3rd stud, but not everyone will have that capability. Did I mention that it is cheap? Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good product but has limitations Wednesday, April 16, 2008 A Customer from Yankton, SD
I found the other reviews to be accurate, and I did run into the problem of the wall bracket not being long enough to span three studs. My intended location placed a stud smack dab in the center of the mount and another at one end. 1/2 of the wall mount would have been totally unsupported. Luckily I have access to a metal shop, tools, etc, so I fabricated extensions. Those without that capability will have a real dilemma. All the manufacturer would have had to do was make the wall mount 3" longer, and it would work perfectly for all applications. The "locking bars" are a little cheesy, but they do work for securing the unit so it can't be bumped off the wall. I also have an issue with the levers that are used to lock the tilt function. They are too long and cannot be rotated far enough to release the tilt function once the unit is hung because they contact the wall mount. If you want to tilt it after hanging, find yourself a hacksaw and shorten them up at least 1/2". Overall I found this to be a quality product, but also one that could have easily been improved with just a little more thought up front. When all is said and done, it was $39 after rebate, and that is hard to beat! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Satisfied Saturday, April 12, 2008 Allison from North Little Rock, AR
We hung our 46" Sony KDL-46XBR2 which weighs about 80 pounds. Like the other reviews say, the instructions suck, but the variety of screws make installation simple and with multiple options. After mail-in rebate we got this for $30. I would buy this model again. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Awesome Flat Screen TV Mount Friday, April 04, 2008 TMH from Atlanta, GA
I bought this to mount a 46" LCD above my fireplace. The mount was easy to install and the Tilt feature works great. So do the locking mechanisms after I modified them a bit to fit the bolt pattern on the back of my LCD. I highly recommend this mount for the price and quality. Was this review helpful?

Very nice product and easy to install. All that is needed is provided in this kit. Varity of bolts to fasten bracket to the flat screen, every possible bolt needed. Cement anchors and bolts provided if installing on a masonary wall. Lag bolts provided may be a little to much for installing bracket to a standard framed wall, I provided my own. Just mount the brackets to the unit and the hanging bracket to the wall and place the unit, flat screen, in place. Security rails included which allow you to secure eveything to the wall with pad locks.
Gret price and super fast shipping. Thanks Buy.com. Very satisified as always with purchase from this seller.

5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, January 01, 2008 Thurman from Louisville, KY.
I love this mount. I installed it on Xmas day. I love the solid construction of it as well. Of course I found the studs and centered the mount on the wall that I was going to use. The thief deterrent feature is also a plus, it not only slows down a thief for a few moments. It also keeps my kids or anyone in the house from sliding the massive TV onto the floor. So I suggest that you obtain some locks for that purpose. Because you can slide the tv from side to side. With the tv hiding the sliding tracks behind, you may slide it too much. Safe vs. Sorry. 4 of 5 Good Price- Do not bump into it Monday, December 31, 2007 Dan from Chandler, AZ
I am overall happy with the product, price is good, quality is Ok and it was very easy to install. MY only issue with it is the latch (mounting system) it uses to attach the TV to the wall. It simply hangs on a rail. If you do not "touch" it or bump into it you'll be fine. I hoped for a "locking" or Bolts to "Attach" the Screen to the wall mount specially for the 40" LCD.

5 of 5 Fantastic! Monday, December 31, 2007 bobthayer from Washington DC
At first, I was leery of the price and thought maybe the mount would be cheaply manufactured. I was pleasantly surprised by how well built and sturdy the mount is and by the completeness of the package. The package was so complete that the mount manufacturer provides you with ever possible screw type for your TV. Four of each size of screws in separated pockets on a long sleeve of plastic bags labeled A, B, C, D, E, F etc. They have long ones, short ones, fat ones, thin ones, etc. They give you spacers if you need more space between the mount and the TV. They give you huge screws to use to screw into the wall studs. They even give you anchors to use if you plan on screwing it into Masonry blocks. They cover it all!<b>Can you tell I'm happy?!</b> I got this for $ 36, which is 1/3 the price my friend paid for his that didn't have the correct screws for his TV.
<p>
I would highly recommend this mount. The only concern I had was that the hook lip is not very deep when you hang it and I felt the TV could come off of the mount if bumped hard enough from the bottom of the TV; however, by sliding the security pieces in place, the TV will not come off of the mount even if bumped. The Security pieces have a hole on each piece that lines up with a hole on the mount so you can put small padlocks on it so thieves can’t steal it.
<p>
Very good deal even at the list price of $ 179, a great deal at Buy.Com price of $ 65 and a fantastic deal with the rebate making it $ 36!! Not to mention, if you get a further discount, then you and I would need to go to jail because we've stolen the item at $ 36 and below! Good luck all!

5 of 5 Solid and universal Friday, December 28, 2007 Mark from Dublin, OH
This is a very solid wall mount! There is not much in the way of directions, but the assembly is pretty obvious - mount the flat part on the wall, attach the two arms to the TV, hang that on the wall mount.
The 2 separate arms make this very universal. My only complaint is that I used it to mount a 32" LCD and being rated for 32"-63" it is over-built/sized for my TV. The arms stick out past the bottom a little. I should have bought a mount that has 32" near the middle or top of the size range.
Overall, a very nice unit - that I might swap out to mount my 50" plasma and buy a smaller one for the 32". Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pretty Straight-forward Friday, December 28, 2007 Steve from New Jersey
No big surprises here. The included instructions are pretty weak and entirely too brief, but I got it installed first time without any trouble. The unit design is clean and straight-forward and it works as I hoped it would. I made sure I hit studs with all four bolts and locked the TV mounts into the tracks both top and bottom.
I considered an articulating arm mount, but for the price, I could not be happier. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Overall a great mount, but won't work for everyone Wednesday, December 26, 2007 A Customer from Macon, GA
This is a great TV mount at a great price. My only complaint is that it won't span 3 studs in the wall. This won't matter for most people, but if you've got a stud exactly centered where you want to center the TV, it may not work for you. You'll need a mount that will span 3 studs. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value - easy install Wednesday, December 26, 2007 Say from Concord, CA
As the previous reviews mentioned, the instructions aren't that good but the install is a breeze to figure since there are so few parts.
The only reason i didn't give it 5s across the board is due to the tilt feature. The length of the actual tilt locking lever is probably a 1/4" too long making loosening & tighting a bit difficult....but hey, for the money you can't complain. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Does what is supposed to Saturday, December 22, 2007 Tim from Los Angeles, CA
Comes with many parts to try to guarantee that it will be compatible with any television. I have a 50" plasma and it supports it no problems (it is spec to hold up to 200 lbs!). The only challenging part was to find the studs and line it up within required tolerance, but this is not the mount's fault. Directions are short (1 small page), but was sufficient (it isn't rocket science). Was this review helpful?
