    1 of 5 Warning! Not Compatible with Mac OS 10.5.2 Sunday, May 11, 2008

    Specs fail to disclose that this floppy drive is not recognized by Intel-based Macs running the current 10.5.2 OS. The drive will appear in Desktop and Finder as an "untitled" drive. However, it is not recognized as a floppy drive, so it cannot be mounted or utilized by programs like VirtualBox. Disappointed.

    Value and performance rated low because of what it does not do. It does NOT read 400kb and 800kb floppies for the Macintosh. It does read the 1.44 disk for the Mac. I gave it to a friend, as I believe it reads 760kb DOS.

    This item worked great. I used it to boot from floppy to rebuild my laptop. Be aware that to use this product for that purpose that your bios needs to allow boot from usb type floppy in the boot sequence. If is older it may not allow with usb.

    I have bought over the years lots of programs for my computers and many were on the 3 1/2" floppy disks, I hated not being able to use them since the new computer did not have a drive. This has allowed me to load several graphic programs that I had as well as the older Word Perfect programs. Great investment as I can use 20 years of work on the newest computers.
