These are by far the best discs that I have used. It is very rare for me to have a coaster. No other brand compares to them as far as I'm concerned.

The recordable dvds I ordered were a great value. I was surprised to find a quality brand for the price I paid. I have never had a problem with TDKs. Thank you so much.

I purchased a new box of these TDK dvds. I opened the container and had to throw away the first 4 because my computer read media error. The 5th disc worked. I would not purchase this brand again. In the past we have used Verbatim and I have not had any problems. What a waste of money to have only 1 of 5 disc work. Buyer beware.

Every time I buy a CD or DVD spindle from Buy.com, I open the box and cell wrap and sure enough another spindle broken at the base. If you don't mind broken spindles go with the online pricing otherwise head down to your local retailer to make sure your spindle is not broken for you buy.

Yeah, these DVDs are fine, but about 10% of them fail either because my burner malfunctioned or the disks themselves were faulty. Either way, I'd say they are a decent buy.

I SPECIFICALLY joined this only to review these dvd's and from what i saw on here it makes me wonder if the people reviewing this are TDK reps trying to sell their product. I run a small software/hardware selling business and I can tell you TDK's are not "high quality" and great dvds as some say. I have received different types(25pk,50pk,100pk,dvd+r,dvd-r,dual layers) and I have had problems with 85% of all received packages. You might think maybe i just get them from a bad factory? No, i receive these from different states all around the US and I can tell you i have had nothing but trouble with these. When it comes to quality blank dvdr media your best bet will always be verbatim and sony. Ok some people on here say theirs work fine and I believe them but all i am saying is you're taking a gamble when buying these dvds.

I think the title "Not a single frisbee" (aka "coaster") speaks for itself in the disc-burning community. and 30 cents per disc aint too bad. I'd rate the value a perfect '5' if it were any cheaper.

It is a great price, and worked fine in all my stand alone DVD players. But they acted funny in my X-Box 360, it would pixelate and glitch up, usualy during the first 10 minutes or so of the movie. Unfortunatly for me the X-Box is hooked up to my main entertainment center that I use to watch most of my movies.

The TDK DVD-r's always work fine. I never get coasters and they look nice. Plenty of room on the face to write on. The price is reasonable as well.

TDK started outsourcing their DVD manufacturing.. I recently bought some (not from buy.com) but they are made by cheaper companies.. you can find out by gettin a DVD identifier program free then it will tell you the manufacturer and media ID... I bought two spindels, one made in malaysia and one made in india... both were NOT manufactured and were rated third class media on DVD forums.. so beware.. buy.com may have the DVD's actually made by TDK but since TDK started outsourcing a while back (3-4 years) TDK might not even make their own DVD's anymore at all.. they just pay someone else to make cheap ones and brand em with TDK.... so FYI.. beware!

I'm on my 3rd spool of these bad boys and will not switch. There might be better media out there but I have never burned a coaster with this media and it plays in anything that I put it in. I actually check the UPC to make sure that I order this exact product. I love these discs.

These discs work very well and were a great price. TDKs are very reliable at any rate and I do not anticipate any problems.

I've used over 600 of these and they are great. The only coasters I've had are from my mistakes. Windows xp pro and samsung burner. At 25 cents each they are a real bargain. They burn at about 12-14x.

This is a very good, quality product. I only had two (2) bad DVD-R discs in the spindle of 100(actually, you could SEE the flawed area on the 2 bad discs...before placing them in the drive)! In my book, that's a very good return on quality for this lower price level. If the drive will let the disc burn, you won't encounter any flaws in the final production. I use them for data discs as well as video and TV recordings with no complaints. These are a real economical boom! I've got a second spindle of 100 to feed my Media Center PC. The 16X burn speed is also nice to work with.

I have been buying this product and am very pleased with its quality.These are excellent DVD disks that you can use to back up, and copy data. If you use any burning software to burn data onto these disks, you will not be disappointed. When I bought these, the price of these disks (100-pack) at Buy.com was very reasonable plus FREE SHIPPING and I received the product in THREE DAYS, you can't get a better deal like this in your local stores !!!

I have tried every brand of burnable media out there and TDK provides the best product hands down. TDK is the only brand I can use that will play on any DVD player I own. I own Sony, Pioneer, and Philips players... TDK plays on all of them with no problems

I have been using these TDK DVD-R's for about a year and have had very good success with them. I do get an occasional coaster now and then, with the success rate somewhere near 98%. Compared to the other products available, I find TDK DVD-R's to have good value and performance for a moderately-priced product.

I've burned over 2k CDs and about about 500 DVD's and its very important to buy some good media. TDK is one of the best and thats why you usually have to shell out more. Great Product Good Price.

you might find cheaper deals out there, but these come from a known company (although that hardly means anything these days since every body is buying from the same manufacture). they feel a bit thin and "cheapy" but so far i have burned more then a dozen with no problems. all in all these seem to be a good value deal.

Just got these in the mail and ran DVDInfo: These are actually manufactured by Daxon, not TDK. Media ID: DAXON016S From what I've read, these are decent discs, but not as good as real TDK/Verbatim/Sony. Haven't burned any yet.

I've run thru about half the spindle and not a single coaster yet. More importantly, however, the quality of playback is noticably better that the generic DVD blanks that I normally use. Now the generics were 8x and these are 16x and my burner burns at 8x (and being an impatient sort of guy, I always burn at max speed), so maybe that has something to do with it? I dunno. Either way, these discs rock.

Ordered 4 packs of 100 for a project, and they burn great. One bad burn out of 400, not too shabby. Pretty good deal including shipping too. Burning was pretty fast as well and took about 6.5 minutes per disc with my Samsung 16x burner. Overall I'm very satisfied with these discs.

You won't be dissappointed with these blank dvds. The quality is great and the only small gripe is the spindle is not the greatest I would remove blanks and put in sleeves to protect dvds. You won't be dissappointed with these and they work in almost all players, and recorders.

TDK has been making magnetic media for the last 25 years plus and they are the best. I have always used TDK and it never fails. Some user above saying burning movies and CRC errors, i am sorry, you might want to make sure you are doing it correctly and change your burner. You cant blame the media for your screw ups and ripping a movie to your hard disk was never a 100% deal.

When I bought my LG DVD Burner (Model GSA-4163BI), the affordable media was only 8X. The 8X TDK and Sony DVD-R worked really well with this drive. When the local OfficeMax put the HP 16X media on sale, I rushed out and bought a pack of 100. To my surprise, the HP 16X media was only recognized as 4X!!! I updated the drive to the latest firmware and tried again. Still 4X! Needless to say the box went back to OfficeMax very quickly. After that incident, I tried some RiData 16X media and it was only recognized as 8X. I was about to give up the 16X writing with this drive. When I saw Buy.com is selling the TDK 16X DVD-R, I decide to give it another try as I had such good luck with TDK 8X DVD-R and 4X DVD-RW discs. I am happy to report the 16X DVD-R is recognized by my LG burner as 16X and written to in the full 16X speed (over 22MB/sec!). Nelson

I burn mostly movies. Burns without errors. But when I copied the disc back into the hard drive. 3 of 5 disc had CRC errors. I played them on my DVD settop players, and at certain points it jumps. That was 100 disc down the hole. Going back to Verbatim.

Started burning home movies on the day these arrived. The faster rates cut down on the time it takes to create the final DVD, and within days I've already burned 10 without a hitch. This has been one of the best values I found this year during the holidays!
