Targus 17" XL Notebook Backpack, TXL617

I was looking for a bag to hold a larger 17" desktop replacement. This is it! It holds my 'massive' Dell 17" XPS with room to spare in its own padded, velcroed compartment. Plenty of other pockets, zippers, diveders, etc. I have a place for practically anything I want to go with my laptop and then some. The construction, fit, finish and materials all seem to be top notch. I barely feel the weight even when loaded with all my accesories (5lb. power supply anyone?); very comfortable. I have had the bag for about a month now with no problems or complaints. Well except one, I wish it also came with the neat little cellphone holder I see on some other backpacks. Highly Recommend!

If your like me you want to put your laptop inside a neoprene slip case & still be able to fit it into your backpack for that added bit of protection. PLUS Carry every thing you could possibly need to use your laptop anywhere with a digital camera & a 500gig external hard drive.This pack is comfortable & versatile enough to allow me to carry all of my sensitive equipment inside a waterproof "Plasticase" & still have room to spare. This is definitely a great product.

This is a great item. It is very large and has lots of storage. The number 1 reason for my purchase is, being a large male I didn't want to look like I have a purse on my back. It is large enough for man to wear without it looking femine. I hope this evaluation helps other guys make their decision.

This thing is ENORMOUS in size. I am 6'1" and this backpack covered my back and all of my rear end. I could literally fit everything that I needed for school in this bag plus my lunch. Too bad it was stolen from me.

I really like this bag, It fits like a glove. All I can say if you need a bag for a 17" laptop this is the bag for you.

I couldn't find anything locally that would fit my new HP 17" laptop, so I ordered this one. I later saw it at Best Buy for $30 more! It holds everything and has lots of pockets. Totally satisfied.

As a university student I wanted to have a backpack that fits all my books and my 17 inch hp laptop,and the best I could get is this one. It has space for every gadget I have. I carry a Laptop, Charger, Ipod, PDA, Big text Books(lot of them),water bottle,cd's ,headset and still has more space. It's kind of heavier than I thought.I t'll be okay once I get used to it. Again, it weighs more than most normal school backpacks. But it seems to be very tough, and looks like it has a long lifetime. Fabric feels like it's waterproof and good padding for laptop too. I like this bag for all my electronic gadgets,and its capacity. This durable backpack is a MUST for a person who loves to carry more in one backpack.

This is by far the best laptop bag that I have owned. I travel every week for my job and this has more than enough room to carry everything I need to conduct business. This is a must buy!

The Targus TXL617 XL Notebook Backpack is the perfect bag for people who are going to school such as myself. I have a 17" widescreen Toshiba laptop and it fits perfect and snuggly inside the bag. The padding is great and provides the excellent cushioning. There are so many pockets to tuck away small things, and the bag has bigger pockets to store heavy and big text books. The bag is also well balanced when worn on the back with it fully loaded. The waist straps also provide a secure feel and further the bags stability. I am very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for a laptop schoolbag.

I like all of the space this pack has. I wish the bottom had thicker padding for when I set it down with the laptop in it. Overall, it's the best pack for a 17" laptop that I've found. Great price at buy.com too.

This is a BIG backpack with lots and lots of space, storage, and "nooks and crannies" tossed in. Even though it's been designed for the larger, heavy (and hefty) 17" laptops, which is why I purchased it, you can enjoy the extra room for your 15" or smaller laptops. If you enjoy toting a backpack, this is the one to have, and the price from buy.com was perfect, as compared to other "online" stores. I received the unit within 3-days of my order.

I really really really like this bag. The straps are a little hard on the shoulders when its heavy... but thats expected right?! The bag is HUGE, 3 main pockets. Then theres one for your mp3 player, calculator, or whatever. Laptop fits perfectly (15"). I can fit all 15 hours worth of class books in the bag and still have room for gadgets!! Great price too.

Large sized bag with plenty of different storage space. Perfect for students. My HP ZD8080us(17" widescreen) fits with plenty of room to spare. Would be perfect, if it was a bit smaller.

it is huge, maybe a bit too big for me, but it's got great shoulder straps, fits well to my body, which as a woman is unusual because most things like this are made for men's bodies and do not fit me well. it has high quality construction, and so many pockets i'm constantly losing things. my 17" powerbook fits really well, with room to spare. i think it will be great for travelling. if it's everyday use you're looking for, and don't carry a lot of stuff with you, it may be more than you need.

This pack rocks! It feels like a nice backpack and carries my 17" laptop with ease. Not only that, there is ample room for the extras that I pack with me....and that is just in the main pouch. The secondary pouch has room for a ton of books and papers and has a rigid reinforcement that keeps everything "in shape" while in transport. The outside pouch for a CD player is better suited for my iPod and has a hole that the headphones can come out of and not subject it to harm if it rains. There are also places for my water bottle and cell phone. It is the SUV of laptop bags!
