This product is garbage do not waste your money, I installed in all of my 3 computers, I also installed other FREE Anti-Spyware, Anti-Malware and Antivirus products and Norton would say everything was OK on everything that it was supposed to be checking on a daily basis, but when I used the other programs they all found all sorts of stuff on all the computers several times after this programs was installed. I use the internet alot and having a program that not only protects my computer but digs and finds stuff that might have sneaked past the firewall is important and this program is definitely not it, don't waste your money on it! I bought this for my wife's computer replacing Norton Internet Security 2007. It was advertised as using less memory and faster startup time. The version she had, did indeed need these improvements. I am happy to report Norton 360 Version 2.0 meets these with flying colors. The price is right and it is very easy to install.

I was getting tired of Internet Security 2008 updating every time I turned on my XP PC so when I got my new Vista laptop I downloaded the free trial of 360. What a difference! It runs in the background without bogging down my XP PC or the Vista laptop. It has already stopped a Trojan.
I bought a mini XP laptop and the installation was a piece of cake on all three machines. You have to tweak the settings a bit to get 360 to run the way you want it to, but it's very much worth the time.
I especially like the PC tuneup feature. My boyfriend likes to use IE (I use Firefox) and I can hit one button and cleanup all the IE temp files and windows temp files in just a minute or two. Very efficient!
I will recommend it to every one. I bought 360 from Buy.com thru ebay for $35 (free shipping) half of what Symantec charges so it was a very good deal, about $12 a year for each computer. Was this review helpful?

Price couldn’t be matched by anyone so thanks Buy.com. The installation came with some issues on XP and the first time speaking with technical help was unsuccessful. I pressed a little harder with the second time on the phone and we found the solution; Norton 360 along with Powerdesk Pro from Vcom was the problem, they were able to help me find a patch and therefore a workaround solution. When we bought our newest computer it came with Norton - then it expired after a year. After having issues with free versions of other products with older computers we felt compelled to buy the CD Norton and use it. I was hesitate after reading some of the reviews but bit the bullet so to speak. I am glad we did, it wasn't that expensive and it works great. I haven't noticed any lag time when it's running and love all the features it has. I really like the log-ins saver. Saves me time remember all the 1000's of passwords and id's I have. Only thing I can say bad is that it was a little hard to install. My husband did it and it took a while but once itwas in it has worked great. Was this review helpful?

I have had Norton System Works for many, many years and I was completely satisfied except with the automatic renewal but that's another story. I had loaded 360 when it first came out and as is par for most new software, it was full of glitches..now a year down the road it appears that they made setup very simple and I was able to load all three of my PC systems with little to no glitches. There is always something as each machine is a little unique but all in all I am satisfied with the system so far. I have been happy with Norton products in the past so I expect the same satisfaction with this new version of 360. FYI I am not a technical person but all you need is to read the prompts and follow through with the actions. So far so good however with Norton I feel secure & safe. I have been using the Norton family of products for 15 years now and I love it. From the old Norton Commander and Norton Utilities to these days of Internet Security and 360 not to mention Ghost and the newer N.U. I love that they streamlined the protection in both 360 2.0 and IS 2009. The only gripe I could have is that instead of giving the good prices to loyal customers such as myself, they make you hunt down the periodic deals and rebates instead of the easy of just letting it auto-renew... There's a whole lotta protection going on here for less than $5 a CPU! Even at full price this package is worth it. I got this mainly for the Anti-Virus. I was using an Anti-Virus package provided by my ISP but that really slowed our systems down. I installed everything in the package except the backup. Our systems are now running almost twice as fast as before. You don't get all the bloat that you used to get from the Norton products, but you do get all of the benefits... Was this review helpful?

The product installed smoothly and performs great. No problems found yet. One thing it does do is find my Network drive for back-up. Something I had to fight with using Microsoft one care plus ever time I wanted to back-up. I Switched over to Norton 360 version 2.0 because the price was right ($14 after rebate). I've only had this product for a week or two. It scans quickly and does not seem to take too long with live updates. I had some difficulty with installation on my laptop (wireless network) but Norton's tech service was very helpful and in the end the problem was traced to the wireless card had lost its IP address. My ISP walked me through uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless card. Then I installed Norton on the laptop and it set up my network automatically. So far, so good. Was this review helpful?

I upgraded from the original 360 and noticed a faster boot time over the previous version. This install comes with a registry editor, which takes the guess work out of editing. Norton's has been my regular virus protection software for several years now and it is easy to install on 64 bit Vista and just as easy to use as on the 32 bit Vista. I have been using Norton/ Symantec products for years with pre-Vista Windows PCs, with no problems. I recently purchased a new Dell PC with Vista, and purchased Norton 360 2.0 to use on my new Vista PC, along with 2 older XP PCs. It works just fine on the XPs, but WILL NOT WORK WITH VISTA!!! I spent several hours on an interactive "chat" session with Norton customer support (in India, by the way) where they remotely uninstalled and reinstalled the software. It made no difference. The "Live Update" will not run on Vista, I always get "operation failed" when I try to do so. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled 3 additional times. After much searching on the internet, I have learned that this is a common problem. NORTON 360 IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH VISTA AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS NO SOLUTION FOR IT!! After wasting too much of my time, I finally purchased McAffee online and installed it. It works like a charm. Stay away from Norton 360 if you have Vista!! Was this review helpful?

I have been using this product for a year now and was getting ready to renew my subscription. The cost to renew was more than the cost to purchase again at Buy.com so I bought it again.
