Plot Summary
Based on Marcel Proust's novel, a period film depicting the obsessive love of Charles Swann -- a Parisian, Jew -- for the fashionable Odette de Crecy. When Swann at last obtains the hand of his beloved, his love for her has exhausted itself, leaving him with an empty marriage and social alienation.
