| "Welcome to a Brawl for the Ages, Where Anything Can Happen, Anyone Can Show Up and All Bets Are Off!"|The World-Famous Fighting Franchise is Coming to Wii!
Nintendo worlds collide in the fighting game that features a number of characters that have appeared on Nintendo platforms, from Mario to Link to Pikachu...to Solid Snake. As they square off in locales drawn from the history of Nintendo anything can happen. Smash Bros. features limitless customizing options, items and weapons and a wealth of modes. Included is a sprawling adventure mode called "The Subspace Emissary" that's a full game in and of itself. Players jump and brawl their way through enemy-packed side-scrolling levels, meeting up with other characters and watching cinematic cut-scenes. Brawl with your friends across the country using WiiConnect24. Going online allows up to four players to brawl, no matter where they are.
Engage the rage with Super Smash Bros. Brawl! The third installment of the incredibly successful Super Smash Bros. series is now on the Wii, The roster islonger than ever, but that just means more butt to kick across over a dozen different, graphic-rich stages with original moves, new modified moves, and a brand-new super attack called Final Smash! Old favorites like Mario, Link, Peach and Kirby are now joined by such exciting newcomers as Wario, Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog. With a variety of new modes, an absolutely epic soundtrack and the ability to play with distant friends through online multiplayer, this is a game you'll have to break your own fingers to put down.
What is "Super Smash Bros?"
It's a brawling, battling, action-packed video game that features a varied roster of characters for four-player simultaneous melees!
When you hit an opponent, his or her damage meter builds up. The more damage that builds up, the farther an opponent flies each time he or she gets hit!
An opponent with higher damage flies farther. Soon, people are flying around like rockets.
And when you fly off the screen in any direction.
You lose a life! Also, in some modes, each time you KO an opponent, you earn points.
As an example, you can fight for a mere two minutes in a competition to see who can shoot their opponents off-screen the most. If you had to call it something, I'd say it's almost like a sport.

Upon examination, Nintendo has preliminarily determined that this disc-read error is caused by the soiling of the consoles optical lens by environmental factors such as excessive dust and cigarette smoke. Nintendo is offering to clean these systems free of charge, and recommends that consumers do not attempt to clean the systems on their own. Information regarding the cleaning service can be found at support.nintendo.com or by calling customer service at 1-800-255-3700. |

5 of 5 The Family Loves It Tuesday, April 08, 2008 YC from Ramsey, NJ
While I don't see that much difference between this Wii version and the Gamecube one, my wife and two children really like this game. Especially now since the XBOX 360 was sent in for repairs, this game is the only one being played. It is the same basic Smash Brothers game with added characters, new playing fields and a few extras. While I like to try and take advantage of the wireless Wiimote, the rest of the family takes comfort in hooking up the old wired controllers so they can execute the signature moves that they are used to. All in all, it is a good game and I recommend it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great !!!! Friday, April 04, 2008 wjl4002 from towner, nd
This game is great. The graphics are good for the Wii and the ability to use any controller is nice. They could have made the events more challenging but would be good for younger players. there are many more hours of gameplay left. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great game - menus/interface could use work Tuesday, April 01, 2008 ed from nj
overall the game play is awesome - plenty to do, so many customizable options and different ways of playing. I have yet to use the wifi feature of the game, but it promises to be awesome once I start messing around with it. The one gripe that I have is with the menus and interface design in general - I feel it is too busy and chaotic, sometimes making it difficult to peruse, or just looking like a beta test of the game. Once inside the actual levels or stages, however, the graphics and gameplay are awesome. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 GAVE AS GIFT TO MY SON Tuesday, April 01, 2008 Cavan from Brunswick, GA
I don't know anything about this game, but my son says it is the best game ever. His friends agree as they will get together to play it and have a blast. As far as rating the gameplay, graphics, difficulty, etc., I did not know, so I rated all fives. If my son and his friends enjoy the game this much I feel confident that the game has great playability, graphics, and probably humorous aspects. I hope this review helps. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Get this game. Monday, March 31, 2008 Bryan Robres from Fontana, CA
This game has always been the number one nintendo game since the N64. It's a side scrolling fighting game that has 35 familiar characters from numerous nintendo games. All with unique attributes and abilities. There are a seemingly endless amount of things to collect and challenges to complete. The story mode is very long and will take you a long time to complete and you can play it with a friend. The graphics are about as good as it gets on the wii aside from Metroid and Super Mario Galaxy.
Besides all the other great features, this game is about the multiplayer. Up to 4 players at once and no match is ever the same due to the interactive stages and items.
The online play is where this game has failed partially.
About 75% of the people who have this game cannot play random people online due to server issues. BUT, if you just want to play with friends online, then it will work just fine.
Honestly, this game is a must have.

5 of 5 Thou Hast Done It! Friday, March 28, 2008 mnnuts@msn.com from Iowa
Deserving of much praise is Masahiro Sakurai,
Thousands of smiles and groans has he commanded!
Rough winds doth Kirby shake my darling buddies in March,
And Brawl's release hath been all too much delayed...
When in eternal days to come thou wrists grow weary
So long as we can breathe to play again. Our eyes strain
In longing for more lives to give life to me!!!
How shall I compare thee? For there is no equal in my realm.
New battles, new worlds, new weapons abound anew,
Now if I can only get a decent WiFi connection.
Hey, it's my turn again. Where's the AA batteries?
Enjoy SSBB!

5 of 5 Must Have! Thursday, March 27, 2008 B3rt0 from Lancaster, PA
The hype surrounding this game was unmatched with any of the other wii titles so far. It lives up to the hype. The graphics may not be on par with what the PS3 and Xbox 360 can do, but the overall experience of this game is incredible. To put it simply...it's incredibly fun. Solo gameplay is entertaining enough, but where this game really shines is multiplayer. Add friends to your roster using Friend Codes, and then meet online for multiplayer. The Friend codes work seamlessly but akwardly. Why Nintendo has seen fit to add another layer of complexity to online play is a mystery to me. the experience is still incredible. There is no lag time that I can see to playing online. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best Smash Yet Friday, March 14, 2008 Ryasin04@yahoo.com from NY
Received This about 2 Days now From Buy.com
First the Shipping was Extremely fast(and Free) So I`ll definitely be Buying here again!
As For The Game itself, Not only is the The Best Smash Bros to date, it`s in my Top Five Wii Titles To Date(Others Being - MP Corruption,Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy)
My Only Dissappointment is the Lack of an Online Scoreboad :(
But Overall the Online Play has been Fantastic, i have yet to experience any problems online.
5/5 for this Game and Service from Buy.com
