The Ultimate Nintendo Hero is Taking the Ultimate Step...Out Into Space!

Become Mario as he traverses gravity-bending galaxies, traveling in and out of gravitational fields by blasting from planet to planet. Players experience dizzying perspective shifts as they run upside down through wild alien worlds that need to be seen to be believed. Whether you're surfing on a ray across an ocean in the clouds, rolling on a ball through a treacherous garden, or floating in a bubble over a poisonous swamp, there's no limit to the cosmic challenges you'll encounter!

When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, Mario gives chase, exploring bizarre planets all across the galaxy.

Mario, Peach and enemies new and old. Players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since this game makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer.

Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy.

Since he's in space, Mario can perform mind-bending jumps unlike anything he's done before. He'll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote.

Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy.

Features
Players Perform Mind-Bending, Low-Gravity Jumps: Across wild alien terrain experience platforming for a new generation.
Shake, Tilt and Point: Mario takes advantage of all the unique aspects of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller, unleashing new moves as players shake the controller and even point at and drag items with the pointer.
Total Control: Controlling Mario is simple with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Players move Mario with the Control Stick and shake the Wii Remote to perform a spin move or cue stars that launch him to and from planetary objects. Players can even point at Star Bits to collect them or latch on to stars to blaze a magnetic trail through the heavens.
Two-Player: Don't want to head into space alone? With a second Wii Remote, another player can play alongside by pointing at and collecting Star Bits, then launching them at enemies. The second player can even sweep aside projectiles or stall enemies to help make Mario's adventure easier.
Transform: Search the depths of space for all-new transformations! As Boo Mario, you can hover over the ground and even slip through walls! Or, transform into Bee Mario and buzz through the sky!
A wide selection of power-ups and items culled from Mario games throughout time, including entirely new ones like the Ice Flower and the Rainbow Star!

Bought this for my son's birthday, who just turned 7. I don't play it to apply the proper ratings but my son gives it a high rating.

This is one of those games...like Goldeneye 007 for the N64, that they just got right the first time. The game play is great..altho a bit easy, the graphics are nice, and the feel is genuinely mario. Great game for anyone!

5 of 5 Awesome game! Tuesday, January 08, 2008
A Gamer from San Francisco, CA
This is the first Mario game I've played since the original Nintendo, so I was a little intimidated at first. It didn't take long for me to get over it. The controls are easy to use, and the game gradually introduces you to skills you'll need to succeed, so it's not overwhelming. The game play stays interesting. There are a variety of different levels. It's actually cool because at most points in the game, you have several different levels to choose from, and they're often very different from each other. Having the option to choose which type of board you'll play is great, as well as the option to come back to a challenging board later. I have two complaints with the game, and they're not that bad. First, the camera angle is a little hard to control, and that can be frustrating. It sometimes takes a bit of effort to get a good view of where you want to head next, and sometimes you'll have to just go blind (often sacrificing lives). Second, every time you quit and game, you automatically restart with 4 lives. If you happened to quit with 24 men (as I did once), they're all gone when you return to the game. Given that fact, it's best to use up most of your men when you're ready to shut down for the day. Overall, I've just had amazing amounts of fun with this game. I found myself going far beyond the required number of stars before I rescued the princess, just so I could beat all the levels first. I wanted to check out all the game had to offer, and it offered a lot.

4 of 5 Addictive for Kids but Still Fun for Adults Thursday, December 27, 2007
Gregory M. from Lynnwood, WA

I'll have to say this right away, the only annoying thing about this game is when you first select it on the Wii Menu. Players are immediately greeted with a nice sound of Mario saying, "Supa Mario, GALAXY!" in the most high-pitched, perplexing tone. I mute the television whenever it starts to play that sound.

Come on, the plumber is from Brooklyn. Who in Brooklyn ever talks like that without being in a circus?

Okay, now that I have that off my chest, I really have to admire what they've done with the physics in this game. It takes a very imaginative mind to design the levels and puzzles that this game has, and its a huge step from the familiar looking side scrollers of the past. Anyone who played Mario 64 will feel right at home with the controls, as all the old moves Mario once had are back again, and more. This is a huge advantage throughout the game, as players can pick it up right away.

The story line is a little something to be desired, but what the storyline lacks is made up for by the addictive fast-paced level progression. Players will, at all times, have more than one thing they can do. At the same time, their options for game progression are limited enough that they won't feel overwhelmed.

In summation, you want to get this game for the gameplay and the graphics. It's designed to appeal to kids however, so if your passion is for plot and emotion, you may want to look elsewhere.

5 of 5 Kids Love It!!!!! Friday, December 07, 2007
A Gamer from Charlotte, NC
Bought it for the twin 13 year old boys, the 20 year old boy, and 18 year old girl, also fight for time on it. It even has a couple things that I can do with my one unparayzed hand/arm, and that is a rare, rare thing in a game system, or game, the Wii, is the best system for anyone, any age, or ability, and this game is fun for all.

5 of 5 Very entertaining game. Friday, December 07, 2007
Bosco D'Souza from Farmington, CT
I have two boys ages 10 and 6 who really enjoy playing this game. I watch them sometimes but the 3D planets sometimes disorient my watching (you know the sideways and upside down view) . Does'nt seem to bother the boys though - Tough getting old :-) They can play with it for hours... we have to pull it out of their hands. The Mario games are always fun, and my kids are already familiar with the characters and game concepts, so they picked it up intutively. They have played mario games on the Nintendo DS but the WII has different controllers and play which is refreshing for them to try out. I'd say great game, get it. Bosco recommends it. Clean and Fun. Enjoy it for years... does not get too old. Graphics are great too. I got the 480p special component cable for the WII and attached it to my 40 inch flat LCD Sony TV. Personally, I really enjoy the WII Sports the best. Comes with the console unit.
