Haibun is haiku embedded in poetic prose; haiga is haiku painting. Increasingly these two manifestations of the haiku impulse, originating in Japan, have captured the imaginations of writers and artists from a variety of genres. The result is an energetic exploration of how these forms might work in the many variants of English. This third volume of an annual series features the work of more than fifty artists and poets who are making these forms their own. The two previous volumes have won Haiku Society of America Merit Book awards for best haibun anthology.
