Muze PNote The String Quartet Tribute to Incubus includes nine instrumental chamber arrangements of songs from both of the young San Fernando Valley band's breakthrough albums, 1999's Make Yourself and Morning View from 2001. Hits like "Drive," "Pardon Me," and "Wish You Were Here" all feature strong melodies, so their transformation into chamber music, led by two soaring violins, isn't much of a stretch. But the programming, percussion, and strong bass lines that define much of Incubus' material are not evident in this collection. While it's perfectly adequate as an uncomplicated chamber performance, The String Quartet Tribute to Incubus will likely become a curiosity for fans of the group to make out to. ~ Johnny Loftus
