I had to buy these new component cables because the new Hannspree HDTV "IN" connections had only one set (L&R) of audio for the AV in and S-Video in. Unless I was to constantly swap the audio for my VHS and DVD players, I had to replace my S-Vid with component cables that had a different set of audio in. They work great for the DVD player(as did the S-Vid cable) but my displeasure with having to replace working cables was eased when I found Buy.com had the best price for exactly the same brand. They were half the price of 2 other usually very competitive online sellers. I definately would look for any cables needed in the future at Buy.com Was this review helpful?

I ordered this 12' component cable set to connect a DVD player to a wall mounted 46" LCD TV. Total costs for the cables, including shipping, were about 70% less than a comparable set at the local Best Buy store. The Steren 254-612IV 5 cable set, delivered a higher quality video/audio experience than the standard 3 cable connectors that came packaged with my DVD player. Was this review helpful?

I have a 3 ft Monster componet cable and bought this 12 ft Stereo component cable. I finally wall mounted my tv, so I needed a longer cable. There was no difference in picture quality. I am using it on a HP 50" Plasma. I am very satisfied with the quality and price. Was this review helpful?

Okay, so it's not a boutique $$$ cable, but it's well built and it's got a great price. This is the same brand (I believe) as Comcast brought out with my HDTV/PVR box but I needed a longer length for a new TV location.
The only downside I can see with this cable is that it's pretty stiff so I just peeled off the audio cables and ran them alongside the component video. Was this review helpful?
